We are here for the second time ...hotel is in a great location ....the rooms are updated and the view is simply breathtaking. Upon checking in we had a few minor requests ....from both housekeeping and maintenance .....I was shocked at how quick and responsive they were.

The pool is large with many places to hide and keep cool ...plenty of chairs and umbrellas for all. Staff is very nice and accomadating. Enjoy how close the bay is to the pool we go back and forth throughout the day ...chairs available at the bay that you can sit in the water read and relax.

Dive shop on site I had a snorkel trip with them ...enjoyable as it goes out right from the property

Although I have not used the services you can rent paddle boards and jet ski

We are very happy with our stay so far .

Room Tip: Pay for the bay view you will not be disappointed

We enjoyed our brief stay at this resort. The room was great and very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Gus's Restaurant. The service was great. We didn't spend much time on property during the day because the pool and beach area were pretty crowded. Both seemed small considering the size of the property/number of rooms & guests. Instead, we used this as home base and explored the other keys - which worked out fine.

The staff were very professional and seemed genuinely interested in the guests' satisfaction. We returned the first evening to find a card and complementary dessert from the management. Nice touch!

We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful bayside hotel in key largo. The view from our suite was simply gorgeous. We ventured off site to go snorkeling and do some sightseeing, but you really don't have to leave.the on site restaurant was a little pricey, but our suite had a full kitchen so we cooked for a couple of our meals. Pool is beautiful and beach was small, but nice. We rented a jet ski on site. Had a blast. Will definitely stay here again when we return to the keys.

Room Tip: I was a mariott rewards member so they upgraded us to a suite with a pool/ bay view.

We are staying here now and it's just been awful. We've had reservations for months for a wedding that is here at the hotel. We paid for a bay view suite, but because of their mistakes in overbooking they gave us a room that looks at the lobby. The room itself is shabby, broken floor tiles, shower was filthy, the shower head itself needs to be replaced. I think management needs to take a shower in room 118. It literally is painfully bad. However, the bed was nice and comfortable. The front desk people could care less not even an apology. They did give us two 18 dollar coupons for food and said they would get us into an unobstructive bay view suite today. We had to check out of room 118 by 11am leave our luggage in lobby and be without a room. They are saying maybe by 3. I'm in a wedding tonight. My dress is in a suitcase...I'm without a room to get ready or to relax. I'm beyond upset and trying to make most of it. The spa at hotel has a very nice staff. My pedicure was great. I do reccomend the spa.

Hopefuly they get us a room we actually paid for! I've stayed at better no-tell motels with better staff and rooms. We are marriot members and stay at hotels often. At this point we will never stay at this one again. :(

UPDATE: they ended up apologizing and got us the bay room we initially booked. Boy what a difference. This room is updated, clean, and the view is amazing!!! Now we don't want to leave. If you stay here avoid room 118 it really is run down!! Hopefully they update the room like the one we're in now. It feels like a entirely different hotel. Room 305 is fantastic with a wrap around deck and has the same views as the penthouse on level 4. Worth the extra cash!!!

This is a beautiful resort with plenty of amenities--spa, pool, private beach, a couple of restaurants, even a dive op onsite (which is all-important in Key Largo, the town that diving built.) The beach is manmade, as are most beaches in the Keys, but it's a respectable size, and has a healthy lizard population (don't be put off--they are friendly, and very entertaining to watch.) There are plenty of lounge chairs around the beach and pool, but I wish there were more umbrellas; shade can be a little hard to find in the afternoon. The pool was a nice size too, but still managed to be full of screaming kids all day long. There are a few little nooks and corners where you can try to escape them, though.

We were upgraded to a suite when we checked in, but I wouldn't recommend staying in one. The space was large, but bizarrely laid-out, and it felt like a cave--we had almost no windows, and no view whatsoever. There was a king bed in a little loft at the top of a narrow spiral staircase, which was rather scary to climb down in the night to get to the bathroom. Downstairs, there were two smaller beds, one of which was right next to the kitchenette--you could open the refrigerator door while lying in bed! I've never stayed in such a weird space before, and would gladly have traded it for a small room with a water view.

Gus' Grille was elegant, but overpriced, and the sunset was blinding rather than romantic. Have dinner at the tiki bar instead; you'll save a few bucks, and have more fun too.

Room Tip: Don't get a suite! You'll have no natural light, and no view.

After traveling across Georgia and Florida for over two weeks my girlfriend and i needed a place to relax and enjoy some water sports.
Checking the Hampton Inn Key Largo first, where the front desk lady was basically only staring on her PC when talking to other customers and us, we wanted to escape the tensed atmosphere we found there while going around and checking the resort.
So we quickly decided to drive back to check Marriott's Key Largo Bay Beach Resort. What a difference! Arriving at Marriott's Key Largo Bay Beach Resort the valet was smiling and greeted us. Entering the front desk area we were immediately greeted again by the two gentleman at the front desk with an honest smile as well, although both of them were checking in customers from France that didn't speak a lot of English. Again we asked for a premium room or suite with sea view - and we were immediately offered an amazing room with a stunning view. The king bed had its name for a reason here. The balcony and the room were spacious. Everything, including the very spacious shower, was ultra clean. Sold! The young and very friendly valet took care of our car and luggage so good and quick, that we actually still ask ourselves how he managed to do that. The car was parked the real smart way, close to the room at a perfect spot.
We enjoyed some cool drinks at the tiki bar by the pool area. No matter if breakfast or dinner - the Grill not only offered superb dishes but the staff always really cared about your experience. They were quick, kind and made excellent wine recommendations and also had very good knowledge of the tasty local sea food specialties - the hogfish they served was done perfect.
We spent our time swimming and then relaxing in those great hammocks. The whole beach area, also including the other guests, is ideal to chill and relax. Meanwhile every single day the house keeping did a terrific job, when returning to the room it looked as perfect as in an ad. Even every little piece of soap, each and every magazine or bottle was placed perfectly again. So far for taking care of every detail..wow.
Of course we wanted to get a better better impression of the area. So in the minute we wanted to, we just rented a kayak and after that also a jet ski right at the associated dive shop - that was so easy and it was such a great fun!
Thanks to the fabulous staff and the clean and quality-oriented resort we enjoyed really a great time in Key Largo. We'll definitely return to this resort!
