Owner description: This half-mile-long, crescent-shaped patch reef is an interesting dive site since it is highly developed and similar to those of most outer bank reefs in the Key Largo area.

I live in Key Largo, and I am an active diver and snorkeler. We take all our snorkeling guests to Grecian Rocks. It is very shallow. Every time is different. At certain times of the year there are many large (not aggressive) baracuda. There are often many queen conchs in the sea grass. On a good day, it is great, with a variety of colorful reef fish.
I recommend buoys G3, G4, G2 and G1, in that order.
For first-time Key Largo snorkelers, we recommend Christ Statue and Grecian Rocks. They are about one mile apart.

We loved it!! We got there plenty early to wait on the boat. It was a beautiful ride out. The crew was great, they took very good care of all the snorkelers.

Even in big seas, this spot is a winner! Lots of sea fans, soft coral and small fish. Tie up to the mooring, jump in the water and enjoy!

We had a great dive on Grecian rocks. We swam into the current along the reef for 30 minutes and then drifted back towards the boat. Back at the boat, we had time to swim around a patch reef to which the mooring ball was attached. A great dive!

This was our first dive for a 3 dive spot tour of Keys Diver. Captain John at the helm, on the 12:30pm snorkel trip, put us right by the reef spot. The water was clear and teaming with tons of tropical fish, and many types of live coral. The nice thing is that it is a great shallow dive spot for those just starting to learn to snorkel. But due to the multiple types of underwater life, should not be missed even by the experienced divers.
