The Duane is a great dive. Unlike the Spiegel Gropve which takes many dives to see, you can get a really good look at the Duane in one dive. It still can be challenging because of depth and currents, so you should have the appropriate level of certification and experience. We've been seeing bull sharks there and we've seen baby trunkfish too. If you swim above the gunwale and look below the level of the deck you can often see goliath groupers swimming around the ship. Viz in the summer is often 80 to 100 feet. It can be 30 feet or less if conditions aren't good.
Pay attention to the briefing! Even though this ship is smaller than the SG, things can easily go wrong. You should always use the lines on the way down and up because if you don't you may end up blown off in strong currents and then you end up having to go for a ride in the little basket hanging from the pretty orange chopper after they find you. No kidding. It happens. But if you dive intelligently, don't do penetrations that you are not trained or prepared for, and watch your air this is a very fun dive.
