We go to the Florida keys, it's the last place in Florida where you can have a non touristy experience, but even here a true local place is hard to find. When we arrived at this restaurant and saw the rusty artifacts, derelict boats, marine buoys and the low building moldering into the ground I knew we had found the right place. There was everything from BMW's, junkers & motorbikes parked in the lot and on the street, we were not the first to discover this place. Sat right on the water with a great maritime view looking at people getting ready to go diving and people coming back from from fishing charters. Fingers crossed, hoping the food was as great as the atmosphere we were not disappointed. We settled in eating our way through the appetizer menu which included a variety of fish, meat and vegetable dishes, everything tasted great, friendly service and low prices, what was there not to like!

I read the trip advisor reviews, very positive, so we tried the place. Definitely off the beaten path, bu t so glad we went! For a local bar everyone was so nice! Dan and Lacey were very friendly. Steve, a friendly patron was great to talk to. You defifitely need to visit this place if you're your in the area and like home cooking!

It took awhile to get seated. Don't expect them to get in a hurry, but the food is good. Mahi mahi, cole slaw, jalapeno poppers, tuna, and salad was good. Price seems equivalent to most around area. Expect about $13 per person for an entree. $6 for appetizer.

We found this place by accident, wandering around upper Key Largo one day. We decided to go back a couple days later to try it out. The place is a little dive, and I mean that in a good way. My favorite kind of place actually. It sits on the side of a canal near a bunch of charter fishing boats so you get the full "flavor" of being in a seaside community. I personally love the sights, sounds and smells of the docks and fishing boats so I was quite happy. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with answering questions. I tried a coconut beer (not beer in a coconut) but beer actually made/flavored with coconut. It was quite good actually. Everything we ordered was cooked just right and the portions were more than enough. The food was very good and we will definitely be going back the next time we are down that way.
