Loved everything - setting, food, pie... will go back! The pie was the perfect combination of tart and sweet, crust wasn't too thick, perfect consistency... yum!

“Awesome Secret Hole in the Wall”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

If you are headed to the keys, you have to stop here. Great food, drinks, very affordable. Not pretentious or touristy at all. Just a fun out of the way place on the water. They have a patio on the waterway, and a cool inside bar. Happy hour brings $2.00 drafts, and the BEST Key Lime Pie you'll find.

“A true Keys treasure”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

My husband and I are here for a quick getaway and were looking for a down home 'Keys experience' and Shipwrecks proved to be the perfect place! We were fortunate to arrive a little later in the evening and had the whole porch to ourselves. It is one of those places that really gives you that laid back 'no worries mon' atmosphere. Our server was the delightfully charming Naviv who served up a huge garden salad along with sautéed triple tail for me and an outstanding pasta dish complete with bay scallops, shrimp and triple tail for my husband. Both dishes were very fresh and tasty. We started with their signature coconut onion rings ...yum... and we each had a glass of wine. The total tab was under $50. Amazing! Fantastic service and delicious food in a fun Bohemian atmosphere... That's as good as it gets! Thanks, Naviv! We'll be back........

“Local dive with great food”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

Let's be honest here - this place is a dive, next to a dive shop. But it has really, really good food. The indoor seating is mostly bar, with around 4 or 5 "rustic" tables. The outdoor patio looked nice, but since it allowed smoking, we avoided it. We definitely felt out of place with our family of 4, including 2 teens.

The food we ordered was excellent. For an appetizer we got jalapeño poppers that were stuffed with what seemed to be crab dip. The waitress said they were homemade. My Mahi Philly Sandwich had lovely soft textured fish with well grilled onions and peppers on a fresh warm roll. I got the famous coconut onion rings as the side (a $2 upcharge). The batter was the same as you get on coconut shrimp, and the taste similar too. The key lime pie was nice and tart, but the crust was on the thin side.

“Yummy”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

Even though I read in several difference places about Shipwreck's having $1 beers all day long, they said they didn't have this special. That said, the food was reasonably priced, delicious and the service was outstanding. Freshest fish! Would definitely go back.
