You can take a snorkeling trip to a coral reef located about 5 miles from the shore. You can see a large of marine life. We saw a shark, an eel, and a ton of fish! The staff are helpful and knowledgable.

Much more compact and easy to get around than the guide books imply. Maps available, and lots to do on land or sea. More people in a car, less per person to park,
Fabulous shop, and lots of fabulous nature walks. I would say great for about 4 hours.

This park offers many opportunities for a nominal entrance fee. There is a visitor center with aquariums and other displays featuring the ecology of the reef, a beach, sheltered picnic areas, souvenir shopping, tropical birds and most significantly a tour operation offering diving, snorkeling and glass bottom boat tours of the reef. We came here during spring break with the intention of snorkeling; however, due to the relatively cold water this time of the year and in consideration of younger kids, we elected to go on the glass bottom boat tour. The kids loved the glass bottom boat and viewing the reef. While I would have preferred snorkeling, it was apparent from the kid’s reaction that we had made the right choice.

We reserved the 2 location snorkeling tour. This concessionaire doesn't require a credit card to reserve; however, while most of the other snorkeling tours in the area INCLUDE snorkel gear, this one doesn't, gear rental is in ADDITION to state park admission AND snorkel PURCHASE. The concessionaire says they won't rent snorkels, they require snorkel purchase. The boat captain took us out, despite our low number (3 people). We saw a lot of marine life at both locations. My mask leaked, which the boat personnel didn't explain how to rectify until after leaving our 1st snorkel location. Overall, a good experience.

We thank you for your patronage as well as input.

As for our 4 ½ hour (2 or more locations) Snorkel Tour price, we are within the Key Largo price Range of $35.00 to $50.00. Please remember, we cater to the Snorkeler only for the entire tour. We do not mix the SCUBA divers with the Snorkelers during this experience. These tours also operate at a reduced capacity, for your added comfort. This will create the most enjoyable snorkeling experience for all passengers.

The majority of our Snorkel Boat patrons have raved about how fair the rental rates are for the Mask, and Fins. The silicone mask rental rate is $2.00 and the full foot fins rental rate is $2.00. Many years ago, we stopped renting the snorkels based on our Snorkel Boat Customer input as well as health safety reasons.

We offer each Snorkel Boat patrons the option of purchasing the $5.00 souvenir basic snorkel or upgrade to a semi-dry for $9.95 or a dry snorkel for $19.95, for a better snorkeling experience.

Since many of our Snorkel Boat passengers have different Snorkel Equipment rental needs, our Snorkel Boat Tour price does not include rental equipment.

I will work directly with all Snorkel Boat Captains and Dive Master to ensure proper Customer Service. Especially relating to typical issues as relating to mask, fins and snorkels.

If you read the next Trip Advisor posting, this individual explains the entrance fee is nominal and the Park has much to offer.

Again, thank you for your patronage.

What a wonderful way to see the reef, if you don't want to get wet! The ride out to the reef was beautiful and a great way to learn about the area. The tour guides shared a lot of "local" information with us. Once we were at the reef the tour guides did a great job making sure everyone got a chance to see the reef and fish. This trip is a lot of fun for both the young and old. It is well worth your time and money!!!
