“Terrific family breakfast with great service and prices, you won't leave hungry!”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

Although the exterior didn't give us much to go on, we were looking for a late (Noonish) breakfast for our family and several other places end their breakfast menu at 11am. Wow, the food, service and prices were great, and we will definitely bring our family of five back to this restaurant.

“Good Food at Reasonable Prices”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

A friend in the Keys recommended Doc's Diner and my family and i gave it a try. It is a simple restaurant serving generous portions of good food at some of the best prices in the Keys. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Even when busy they manage to get your food to you quickly. The breakfast menu has some items that you don't find everywhere - like Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast - done like my mother used to make. Doc's is incorporated into a small strip shopping row on the bay side of US-1 and a little harder to find than a stand-alone restaurant. Locals know about this place and a fire department crew was eating there on Sunday morning and the place was packed. Since their service is efficient, waits aren't long.
They also offer a different Italian special every Tuesday - with a fixed price around $7 - again with generous portions.

“Read the board...get the specials”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

When you enter Doc's, you know it's a local place. Half the customers call the waitstaff by their name and the other half doesn't need a menu. The clam chowder was up on the board with the specials and the waitress could tell you how it was made. It was AWESOME!

So. If it's on the board at Doc's, it's worth ordering.

“Great food, big portions, small prices”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

This place doesn't look like much from the outside. Don't let this put you off ! Despite it being really busy, we were seated quickly and brought some water to drink whilst we looked through the extensive menu. Our order was taken and the food served promptly. The food was delicious and piping hot, which was great. The staff were pleasant and efficient even though they were really busy with a constant stream of diners, both local and tourists ! It may not be a palace, but I ate like a queen :-)

“Good food, fast service!”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

My boyfriend and I decided to stop here while we were staying in key largo for the week. We had heard that the food was good and was happy to hear they had a large breakfast and lunch menu. The place isn't much, very small and the seats and cracked and broken. I can't complain about the food, it was tasty and very good portions. The food came out incredibly fast, so it's a great place to stop by if you're in a hurry. My only complaint would be that the staff didn't seem very tourist friendly, this was more of a local joint. But if you can ignore that, you're in for a great little meal!
