Ceviche Appetizer was big and very delicious, enough to share.

Tatar was just okay. Prefer it french style (with a little shot calvados or cognac, etc) and toasted Toast and butter.

Filet Mignon was good, a lot of mashed on the side. very good green asperagus. sauce was okay.

Toothfish dish was very good but also lots of mashed. Better; less mashed more fish.

service was very good. nothing to complain. I recommend to clean up the windows. when sun comes in the windows have lots of fingerprints and dirt.

prices between average ( my big ceviche to share was only 12 USD) and almost high.

Thank Melanie R

No Rust here! The Rusty Pelican's food is incredible! The toothfish is one of the best items I have ever had! Loving the strawberry mule very refreshing with our hot weather down here in Miami. Service was great, received a birthday card from the hostess for my birthday and i thought that was a nice touch. All in all they do it right at The Rusty Pelican and can't wait to come back and try some more stuff!

We were fortunate for an opportunity to sample some desserts we chose for a scheduled event and decided to stay for lunch and order the filet mignon, as that was one of our choices on our menu. The filet mignon was of excellent quality, accompanied by bernaise sauce which is as good as we have tasted in France. It was served with french fries, which was also equal to French standards and grilled vegetables which were cooked perfectly..Then we tasted some desserts we chose which was the key lime pie and chocolate mousse. Both excellent accompanied with a tangy key lime sauce and rasberry sauce. Catering Mgr,, Ana Maria, and Chef Natalia were on hand for any questions, and aimed to please in every way.. We can't wait to wow our family and friends are our scheduled rehearsal dinner coming up..

Dined at the Rusty Pelican tonight at an event for a professional group. The view is great, but having eaten the food I would not return. Our options were salmon or chicken, I choose (perhaps unwisely) the chicken. Insipid is the best word I can come up with to describe it, there was absolutely nothing special about it, there was some flavorless mango salsa with it but the chicken itself was as if the chef had ignored salt and pepper and every other seasoning completely. Even though this was a group that isn't an excuse for having poor food, other venues have provided us with memorable food and I was disappointed completely in this meal. Also at issue is the fact that I asked for a container to bring the chicken home to my cats, they prefer bland food. I was told by our waitress (who checked with someone in charge) that it was not the policy to allow diners to leave with food. Excuse me but since I paid for the food is it not mine? I didn't want to make a fuss so simply accepted her explanation. I did feel rather annoyed when I saw a diner at another table (also part of our group) being given a Styrofoam container for her leftovers..... So if you go, enjoy the view because that may be the only positive part of your visit. No thumbs up from this reviewer.
