One of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, this natural vegetation has been restored. It is great not to have tacky commercial activity on the beach, although the beach is colonized by the Park's concession selling umbrellas and beach chairs, which just spoils the whole look and makes it seem like a resort. But you can walk away from the action. After the beach day on the Atlantic, walk around to the Bay Biscayne side for lovely views. If you are lucky you might spot a turtle or dolphins. The restaurant at the beach is set back on the dunes, so it doesn't interfere -- haute cuisine not, but good to come from breakfast, smoothies, etc.

If you want to savor the natural side of Miami beaches, this is the place to go. It's beautiful drive from the city where you see the ocean and palm trees alongside. And there are so many beach options along the way as well as in the State Park itself. But if you like a crowd, outside dining, people watching, Ocean Drive of Miama Beach is the place to go.

A typical family outing park ,pricey entry fee, good services and clean restrooms, clean beach, yet water quality is still not comparable to the best of Miami South beach, just 20 miles to the north.

Bill Baggs has good beaches and trails. It has two resturants and a lighthouse with schedule tours throughout the week. However, the enterance price is $8.00 per vechile which can be pricey for a large family. Their is no beer or wine allowed at in the beach area or in picnic areas according to the ranger. It was a nice afternoon but limited in its many activites

Over all had a great time, keeping in mind it's a state park & there's wild life. We saw a snake (Eek), raccoons, squirrels, cardinals & other feather friends.
Try to do the lighthouse tour it's open from 9-5, quite interesting.
