There are some very good hotels in Miami, do not waste your time, money and aggravation here! Very poor service and rooms. Apparently this is a time share hotel. Paying guests are low priority, just such a terrible experience. Stay at the Setai, St. Regis or Acqualina. All far superior hotels in the area.

Great hotel in the beach with two pools one being adults only and one being for families. We did however had to fight for loungers as the palm trees along with many guests meant either the sun constantly covered most of the area or we couldn't get a lounger in general.

    Beach is a good option.

    Club level is worth it.

Restaurant is nice however its a little far from Miami to go for dinner especially if you want to drink so meal wise a little limiting. Great property otherwise just a little far out which has pro's and con's.

This hotel has a little something which makes it feel more upscale than the other hotels in the area. Anyone who regularly stays with this brand will know what I am talking about. There is only a valet parking option which is the norm for the Miami area. Check in was smooth and welcoming. The room was a great size with modern decor and a great view of the ocean. Very comfortable bed with a ceiling fan above if needed. Sadly the "burger bar" kitchen was closed so we ate at the Mexican restaurant by the beach. All very good. The family pool was extremely busy but a perfect temperature. The adult only pool was much more quiet but there seemed to be some "young adults" who didn't seen to like the tranquility and wanted to make it a bit more lively. Perhaps the management could enforce the adult only rule a little better. In the evening the entire outdoor area was very quiet. Although we didn't use the Hemingway style bar, it looked very nice with stylish rotating fans etc. next time for sure. The beach is much smaller than Miami beach for example. Do be prepared for a little more crowding directly in front of the hotel but a short walk will get you to a more open area of sand. A small gripe is that the speed bumps on the drive into the property are VERY hard to see at times. Perhaps they need to be made slightly more obvious. The scrapes of less fortunate drivers tell the tale of exhausts which have paid the price. Overall a beautiful hotel with an elegant feel as always.

Stayed there for 8 nights. I was a little disappointed in the overall hotel experience.
Service standards with the receptionists, housekeeping, and staff at the beach were on many occasions below what one would expect in a 5 star hotel. The Club Level employees and doormen provided great service.
Expect a 4 star Marriott service.

We just stayed at this Ritz Carlton for the third time. We like the location for a weekend getaway but the service is hit or miss, with the exception of the front desk staff which has always been perfect. As you can imagine, most everything at the hotel is extremely overpriced. The pool and beach areas are lovely, but many amenities (like the worn out ping pong table) need to be replaced. Sometimes housekeeping does a wonderful job, and sometimes they don't. This should not be the case at a Ritz Carlton. When checking out last week we called the valet parking for our car. We received the car with the radio blasting hip hop music and the smell of fast food inside (Yuk!). The drivers seat was very reclined and there was a McDonalds bag stuffed under that seat. I guess our car took a trip to McDonalds and also served as someone's musical lunch lounge. Really Ritz Carlton?! Tut-Tut.
