This was our second stay at this Ritz, whose gorgeous oceanfront location is what keeps us coming back. If the housekeeping doesn't improve, however, we'll think twice. We had a Club Level oceanfront King for our four-day stay with our 12-year-old. The Club food presentations satisfied all our breakfast, lunch, pre- and post-dinner and cocktail needs, and the Club managers were unfailingly gracious. Housekeeping was another story.
On our first evening, housekeeping pounded on the door at 5 p.m. while we were transitioning from pool to dinner, and we asked them to please come back a little later. They didn't, so no turndown service and no clean towels. The next day we found there were only two clean bath towels for three people, and had to call housekeeping to ask for more. A mountain of towels (all sizes) was delivered -- good. The following day, all of the unused extra towels were inexplicably removed while we were at dinner(!), but their absence went unnoticed until the next morning when, once again, inadequate towels required a 7 a.m. call to housekeeping so that we could shower, pack and check out. At $700/night, this kind of annoyance should not occur. The housekeeping staff was pleasant but seemed clueless and poorly trained. Otherwise, the staff throughout the resort were pleasant, polite and accommodating. I hope they get their act together, because this is a wonderful location!More
