The food was great! One of our top 5 filet, it melts in your mouth. The seafood was perfectly done. And the key lime pie was amazing! Great restaurant.

All the food and appetizers was wonderful, portions were just the right size. We sat in the Bar Area to avoid the wait. Make reservations early as it gets busy, especially on a holiday weekend.

We loved everything we tasted! I had the cheese burger with caramelized onions and mushrooms was delicious! William our server was adorable and very polite!

First we ordered a skirt steak with mash potatoes to go,they gave us the food in a cardboard box, so the juice leaked through and there were no plates or silverware and no dressing for the salad. I called for them to bring up plates, silverware and the dressing. Took so long steak was cold and they never did bring the dressing.

We have eaten at Verandah many times and always ordered from their menu. However,we tried a new option last night with friends which is their Prix Fixe Sunday Supper.

The food is served family style and is a great value at $24 per person. The bowls looked small when they came out, but we found out quickly that it was a LOT of food and more than one could eat.

We were offered a simple salad, fried fresh Fernandina Beach shrimp; grilled/fried/or blackened grouper; pimento cheese hushpuppies; chef's daily (which was thin sliced marinated flank steak); mashed potatoes; grilled farmer's market veggie (which was brussel sprouts); house cornbread and yeast rolls. The finale was a banana pudding.

Everyone has different tastes and I don't pretend to speak for others. However, I enjoyed everything. If I could have done anything differently I would have made the hushpuppies with a little kick - like some jalenpenos and the same for the cornbread, which both had a sweet flavor to me.

Our service was great and we will definitely be back at The Verandah.
