This is a nice hotel, and the staff is very friendly. Save up however, the food and beverages are excessively expensive. Also, the service at the resturatants we ate at were agonizingly slow. I have been on cruises (that are notoriously expensive in the adult beverage area) and less for drinks and food than I did at Omni Amelia Ilsand Resort.

Accomodations were clean and bed very comfortable. Wish we had been assigned villas closer to resort area. Lots going on there. It was Very dark at night where we were. But it was wonderful to listen to the sound of the ocean at night. While we were farther from the resort area making it less conveinant it was private and quiet.

My wife and I had a great 3 day weekend enjoying this huge complex. Best about it...bike rentals, golf courses, views, ocean and size of property! I recommend staying in their ocean view villas which overlook the Atlantic and a sweeping beach that goes on forever.

Stayed at the Villas and was impressed with the amenities at the newly renovated inn. Great swimming facility and very nice accommodation. Unfortunately the phone didn't work and despite three calls to the front desk never could get it resolved. Also had to call the maintenance man to fix the air conditioner which required three trips.

Beautiful beachfront resort. Stunning beaches and pools. Stayed in Sandcastles building in a 1 bedroom villa. The villa was spacious, well appointed, great kitchen with granite counter tops. The bathroom was a little small but clean and updated. There was a dining table and couch with TV that fit comfortably in the living room. The views of the beach from the living room window was stunning. The large patio was off the bedroom and was wonderful with panoramic views of the ocean. Our building also had its own private pool which was nice and less crowded compared to Omni faclilities, The tennis courts were clay and flanked with gorgeous willow trees and short bike ride away. Great labor day getaway, better than any Caribbean Island and only a short drive away! Highly recommended for such a reasonable price - don't forget the AAA discount.

when I book my hotel with olotel no one said I had to stay in a villa....It was far, lonely, nothing to do, no place to eat...you had to do room servive..they charge 14 dollars for two pieces of chesse...no joke.....and alot to bring the food to the room...The hotel is far away at least 3 miles.even thoug they had transportation it was a horrible experience....it was like booking in a far away land.....The area is pretty if you stay at the hotel...People should ask when they book...otherwise you will end with a surprise like we did....it was a boring villa not even a view....so dont look at pictures and think that is what you are going to get.......

Room Tip: If you are looking to be lonely go to the villas......

Just returned from a family vacation. The grounds at this location was fabulous. However to receive 4'stars, they need to offer wifi throughout the resort. We had no wifi in the room, and the cell service for at&t and verizon are terrible. Also, at the price we paid for a 3 bedroom villa, we should not have to pay for beach chairs or an umbrella.
