Read about this restaurant. In the food section of our local paper, and we hustled up there early
as the don't take reservations. We were quickly seated at the last table for two and our waiter was quick to bring us water and he helped us select a couple of wines by the glass. One of the specials was fried green tomatoes, and they were some of the best ever. The batter was light, and the tomatoes were obviously picked for consumption that evening. They were a perfect temperature and texture.
The special was shrimp and grits, so I knew what my wife was having and I wavered between the
Shrimp capellini and the pork shoulder. The chard and cherry peppers won me over and again the texture was pitch perfect. I plan to return early next month for the pork!
We were going to pass on dessert, but the chocolate cake at the next table called to us, so it was either fate or good luck because it was completely delicious.
