our non-profit runs a 5k event here every year. This is a great state park with boating, hiking and fishing. Be careful though because you have to take out what you bring in under park rules.

This park has an extensive system of paved trails for hiking and bike riding. It winds along the Loxahatchee River and it's streams. There is also canoeing, kayaking, and horse riding available. Picnic areas can also be found throughout the park.
Located just a short distance west of Jupiter it's not hard to find.
Good for the entire family or time alone to read, plan your future, or reflect on your past.

A recent upgrade has made this park one of the best in south Florida. Beautiful place to walk, bike, rent a canoe, take a guided tour of the Loxahatchee, and visit the former home of ?. The best thing is to rent a canoe and take it down and back on the river. Probably the best canoe trip we've ever taken.

So far I've only been there walking the trails. It seems though as if the park is more laid out for biking and kayaking. Still had a great time, though. It's a big area and you can see a lot of wildlife. They also have an area for picnicing and bbq. And no entry fee!

For $10 we were able to rent bikes for the day. The concessionaire gave us a map and pointed out his favorite trails. We rode for hours through level often shady terrain. The trails are hard packed so easy riding, no sand to deal with. This is the site of the Second Seminole Wars so there is some interesting history. We stopped for awhile and watched two Sandhill Cranes do a mating dance. They were so loud! We also came upon a fawn and saw a Lesser Kite. It's a great place to take a picnic lunch. You can get a basket for your bike for no additional fee. We were there on a weekday during Spring Break and we saw very few people. Kayaks and canoes are also available for rent. We did that on a previous trip and it was great.
