“History in our own backyard!”
Reviewed July 22, 2014 via mobile

I took my eight-year-old son today to the lighthouse. We are residents of Jupiter and always see the lighthouse driving around town. It is a rite of passage for a local kid to climb the 105 steps inside the lighthouse to experience the beauty of the lighthouse firsthand. Tales of local Indians, explorers, pirates, and it's involvement in World War II are all a part of the experience of the lighthouse. $9 adults. $5 for kids makes this affordable, educational and adventurous. Definitely worth it in my opinion!

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

This was a fun and informative outing. The sights from the top are just beautiful! There are a lot of stairs though if you wish to go to the top.

“Not a top experience”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

The view from the lighthouse is quite interesting. Visiting is only allowed by a guided tour. No opportunities to walk around the lighthouse area. It was not allowed to take my photo bag with me. "Because the lighthouse area is military area". Some people could be bit friendlier. Restaurant facilities rather poor. Provided coffee almost cold. Museum of several rooms with interesting background information.

we loved the experience, our tourist guide was an old man that has lived his own life in the area and was extremely helpful, hour an a half well worth the fee, amazing view from the top of the lighthouse, simply amazing! we'll do it again for sure :)

“What a view of Pam beach county!!”
Reviewed July 4, 2014

The visit to the light house is a great time.the view is tremendous, but not for the feint of heart.i guess the physical feat is somewhat challenging. A footnote to the light house the site was planned by Robert E Lee. the majority of the work was done under the supervision of George Meade .these two giants will meet in their near future at gettysburgh!
