This is simply personal preference. When it comes to parks, lighthouses, and like areas, I like to explore on my own. The chain link fence that keep you out of the area is not only an eyesore to such a beautiful place, but it also prevents you from exploring the property without having to pay for a tour. Not a fan of that situation and will not revisit.

Very nice tour and you get to climb to the top of the lighthouse. The view is amazing! I believe it was like 105 steps up to e top of the lighthouse. The cost was $9 per person.

In South Florida where the highest point is private condos, this is a great way to get an aerial view of the Loxahatchee inlet. You can see all the tributaries of the River and an expansive view of the ocean and much of the surrounding area. Learn to use the panoramic feature on your camera so you can capture the wide view and recreate it later on your computer. They let you stay at the top for 15 minutes so there is plenty of time to take in the sights.
