The condos at Jupiter Bay Resort turned out quite nice. We were very pleased with our condo unit.

The pools were very nice and clean. The unit was quiet and well equiped.

We would like to return to Jupiter Bay Resort condos.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon looking forward to our annual trip/stay in Jupiter. We went to obtain our keys and parking pass, going straight to the condo's management office. We were greeted by a rude woman who advised us to go to our rental agent's office for the key and with exasperation explained that our 2009 pickup truck was not allowed to be parked on any condo sites and pointedly explained she represented the condo owners only. Great start! We observed many SUV's /vans of many types and conditions but new pick up trucks are not allowed.
We were given keys to the furtherest villa from the main complex and would have to park our truck in the parking lot of the on site restaurant each nite...a 1/4 mile's walk away. They did not offer to move our location, saying they had many people arriving the following Sat and the only other unit was even further away. The add for the condo/villa said beach/lakeview. All we could see from our unit was a grand view of Hwy ONE. The unit is dated and smelled musty/moldy. Because of the street noise we chose not to open the windows or patio doors for any length of time. The patio was NOT screened , had a table and 3 delapitated chairs, two of which we chose not to use at all.
We slept on plastic covered mattresses and plastic covered pillows......the pillow covers could not be removed.
The kitchen was not fully equipped as promised. There was not one pot/pan, baking sheet or spatula/serving utensils other than forks/spoons. We had to buy what we needed.
Overall a very disappointing stay. I'm going on as many travel sites as possible to warn people away.

For a family of 4 with 2 teens, we look for a roomy stay and typically choose condo communities whenever possible. Jupiter Bay Resort has various floor plans available for a 2 BR, and we chose the largest 2 story townhouse option, which happened to be in the west section of the small development. The sales office was accomodating by allowing us a prorated 5 night stay rather than requiring a full week's stay. The condos will vary by owner. Ours was nicely appointed, with granite kitchen countertops, access to towels and all other products necessary to cook and clean, and a bike.

The west condo section is a 12 minute walk to the nearest beach area (Carlin Park.) The condo buildings ring around a pond with birds and a paved path. All units have nice patio porches that face this pond. There are several places in walking distance for eating, such as Outback Steakhouse, Taco Bell, coldstone Creamery and the Loggerhead Cafe (quaint beachside shack with yummy breakfast.) The pool is adjacent to a restaurant bar called the SugarCane Island Bistro. It is heated, large enough for laps and has a 6 ft deep end. There is a small 6 person hot tub as well.

The negatives (for some): The SC Island Bistro converts to a karoake bar at night with DJ and loud singing from 9 - 11 pm. Great fun for those at the bar, but hard on the ears for those who would like to sit on their screened porch or keep their windows open. We had to endure a loud wedding one idyllic Sunday afternoon and ended up shutting all our doors and windows to get away from the racket. However if you request buildings B or C, the noise should be minimal. The other negative is that there are 140 condo units sharing 1 pool - so during the holiday/vacation periods, the pool patio is packed. No chance of getting a chair between 12 and 3.

It was nicer than staying in a hotel, but we've stayed in condo communities that were more peaceful with a better pool/person ratio. Still, it could be a good match for many travelers.
