food was pricey and not the best french cuisine we have had. Wait staff were not attentive.

“Ooh la la”
Reviewed February 25, 2011

Idyllic petit bistro at the Jupiter Yacht Club basin delivers high calibre cuisine from a small kitchen. Pricey but well worth it. I had the soup de jour, cream of broccoli, in a large bowl served w/ homebaked baguette slices and butter. Followed up w/ the special sea scallop salad platter. This is the first restaurant in Jupiter that prepares salad greens properly, in an artful presentation as well.

The waitstaff was uniformly attentive to all diners at the outdoor tables (cannot say what went on at indoor seats/bar), not intrusive, but responding quickly and politely to diners' requests.

I will return here first on my next visit to Jupiter.

“Serious Attitude Problem”
Reviewed July 20, 2010

We have been to Cafe des Artistes several times before, primarily for their view of the yacht club. The basic food and cramped tables are vintage French, as are the high prices. We tried to book a table for a special occasion on a particularly lovely evening to take advantage of the view and suset, and were told that the restaurant did not take reservations for less than three persons! They did assure us, however, that because it was a special occasion we could be seated quickly. We were told to wait outside with our very small glass of wine, and 45 minutes later, after the sun had set and we were starved (and not even offered a piece of bread while sitting on a bench), we were informed we would still have to wait, although we watched groups of 3 or more constantly being seated ahead of us. We finally became sensible and went down the road to The Bistro, which although busy welcomed us warmly, gave us a table which we could comfortably put our legs under - and large glasses of wine, and presented us with a varied and reasonably priced menu and friendly and highly efficient service. Go to The Bistro for better food, prices, and services. They also have an outdoor patio and fountain.

“Lovely little french Bistro on the intercoastal in Jupiter”
Reviewed December 3, 2008

This is a nice and very authentic little french bistro. It is a small restaurant tucked away in a little condo/plaza on the intercoastal in Jupiter. I believe it has some outdoor seating that overlooks the water. Not an extensive menu, but everything we had was very good. Good chicken with some sort of lovely french sauce and french fries, great soup and I had a nice cheese plate there as well.

One of the most authentic french bistros I have been to outside of France. Not cheap but prices are no unreasonable and portions are decent sized. Service was fine and as befits a french bistro the wine was good and reasonably priced and the bread fresh and crusty!
