“Ke'e less”

Reigning in the number one spot in this community, we always expect crowds, always consistently great meals, always an excellent dining experience and always an easy recommendation to anyone....until last night.
At the risk of sounding so persnickety and unfair in finding the very few flaws in a perennial favorite, the number one spot may be at risk. Perhaps slammed by a weekend in season, perhaps a server that was on second shift at the end of a long week, perhaps a replacement line chef or bartender, it was a lackluster evening nonetheless.
Small things can add up and how awful that reviewers take notice of them and overlook all that is perfect. Like a cocktail that is all ice and no booze, like being not offered an appetizer while waiting for other dinner guests, like not checking after each course offering to see if it was satisfactory, like the rib eye smaller than usual, chewy and smothered on salty butter as a cover up, like some side dishes barely warm, like having to ask for bread and no acknowledgement when our complaints were voiced.
I would absolutely return and just believe it was a rare "off night". Ke'es siblings (Jettys and Cool- A Fish Bar) in neighboring communities enjoy also being top favorites.

“Yum Yum Yum”

We enjoyed an excellent meal at this very busy and popular restaurant.

The grouper I had was prepared in an excellent manner and had a delicious sauce on it. The service was top notch and very friendly. My friends greatly enjoyed their meals as well.

I highly recommend dining at this restaurant!

This was our first visit to the restaurant. We went with another couple on a Saturday night in season, which can be a challenge. The restaurant consists of one very large room with a smallish bar near the entrance. It was packed with tables...all full of diners. The entrance way was also full of people waiting for their tables to free up. I was a bit discouraged, thinking that our 7:30 reservation would prove a joke. However after 10 minutes we were led to our table. The theme appears to be Hawaiian and the menu largely seafood, but with several meat items. Two of us had the grilled grouper, my wife had the crab cakes, and my friend's wife the grilled pork chop. You also get two sides. You must get the spinach Maria...it's no ordinary creamed spinach. We all devoured our meals and were more than pleased with the taste.

We had two bottles of wine, and one gin and tonic. No appetizers or deserts. The bill was $107 pre tip, per couple. Given the quality of the food, the attentive service, the great atmosphere, I thought it was a good value, and heartily recommend Ke`e Grill in Juno.

“As good as ever”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

We discovered Ke'e Grill last year just by chance and thought it was wonderful. Dinner tonight confirmed the consistently good quality of this restaurant.

We knew from our previous visit that the portions are large, so we skipped appetizers and salads to go directly to the main course. First, we ordered a bottle of Chardonnay from a list of at least 12 or 15 choices. In addition, for the big spenders, there were 2 chards at, I think, 95 and 110 dollars each. No reason to go so big -- there were great wines in the under $50 range.

My husband had a grouper special, baked fillet topped with Gruyere cheese and panko breadcrumbs. That might sound like a lot for fish, but the topping was light and grouper can stand up to it. I also had grouper, topped with crab and just a skim of béarnaise sauce. Again, the proportion of fish and topping was perfect. We both had spinach Maria as one of our two included side dishes -- a slightly spicy creamed spinach browned on the top.

Other reviewers have commented on the cost. We thought the value was extremely good for the price. Perhaps you don't go there once a week, but we were very satisfied with the quality to price ratio.

One negative: the restaurant is extremely noisy. Not sure why, but it is difficult to hear someone talking across a table for two. Also, although not a negative, plan ahead and reserve. Even on a Monday night, it was jam packed by 6:30 or 7:00.

This is by far one of the best restaurants in the area. Service was attentive, food was amazing, atmosphere is beautiful. Put this restaurant on the top of your list. It was fabulous. .....ohhh and the desserts were also incredible.
