I knew we were in for a good experience just by the very high end cars that were parked around this very modest, if not dumpy, hard to find strip mall. The place had great local spot written all over it! Not too busy for a Sunday night so we were quickly seated at the bar directly overlooking the cooking area (our preffered location). We really enjoyed watching the chefs work their magic using fairly simple ingredients and utensils. The bartender quickly arrived and our appetizer order of grilled calamari arrived within minutes. Very tasty and not breaded or deep fried like all others! Next up was the hog snapper and swordfish. Again both arrived quickly, were well prepared and tasted great. The occompanying veggie medley and rice/beans were also quite good. Overall the prices seemed inline for the quality of the food. But, do not expect a some fancy, white linen and fine wine establishment. This is simply a good solid, unpretentious seafood joint doing what it does best. The only thing missing is hard liquor but otherwise excellent. Enjoy!
