“Great place for an afternoon beer or wine”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Listen to reggae music as you sit on the banks of the Indian River Estuary adjacent to the Jensen Beach bridge to Hutchinson Island. Great prices for beer and wine, beautiful views and perfect music to listen to as you drink with the always friendly crowd.

“Close Enough To The Water The You Just Walk In”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

This is a new restaurant in Jensen Beach, the outdoor seating has a atmosphere of being in the beach, they have plenty of tables with a sandy look. There was a person in a kayak that just paddle to the restaurant for lunch. On one side you have the water and the other 2 sides are the streets with quite a bit of traffic, you can listen to the loud music from cars and loud exhausts from the Harley's.
As for the food nothing really standouts, but being close the water you should have seafood, my wife ordered the shrimp taco, there are 2 portions and each came in double flour tortilla, fresh ingredients but my wife said it had a sour taste and she believed it was the salsa. I had the fresh fish sandwich, when I asked what fish it was, the waitress said it was Basa or for $2 more they can serve Mahi Mahi. I chose the Basa blackened with a side of french fries. I believe the sandwiches are on the high side $13.95. The sandwich came on a soft bun I would have preferred a hoagie bun much better, the fish was cooked perfectly, very juicy and flavorful.
For a Friday afternoon they had a good crowd of customers, the happy hour is until 7pm for $2 beers, Overall the visit was good, great for outdoor or beach seating and sipping on a beer. They have a sign on the beach area of the operating hours as, We open when we get here and we close when we leave here, any questions.

“Has potential, but definately not living up to it.”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We've been there 2 times this year. Both were disappointing. One positive is that we are able to bring our dog with us. Staff is friendly, but neither of the waitstaff we dealt with knew their own menus.
One really huge negative for us is that they serve Basa for almost all of their fish meals. We are in South Florida for goodness sake and they are located right on the river, you don't need to serve an cheap, inferior imported fish. One fish entree is called the Captain's Happy Snapper, to me this implies that it is snapper, a local fish, but it is Basa. We were informed that for an upcharge of $2 Mahi could be substituted.
For me 2 strikes they are out.

“Best kept secret- new restaurant!”

Replacing "Dena's" at the end of the causeway... the chef is awesome... all food made from scratch. Wonderful seafood! Friendly staff. Dogs can eat with owners in the beach area. :-)
Looong happy hour!
