This is a small shop that sells sandwiches and ice cream. To me it is known more for the ice cream. There are a lot of timeshares and vacations condos in the area and that is who they aim to serve. Since its the only ice cream shoppe within walking distance to my condo we stop by every year for "ice cream night" but I have to say its really not worth the money. The ice cream is expensive and not great by any means. The service is ok but the ladies behind the counter don't seem to smile much and act a little annoyed if your not sure what you want.
I went there with 4 adults and 1 kid for cones and the bill was over $30. I thought that was high ,especially given the quality of the ice cream (my husbands had frozen ice crystals in it ) and the not so happy service. We decided to skip it next year. There are some better shops in town.

Great chicken wrap with garden fresh ingredients is a great sandwich for lunch. Top it off with some ice cream.

Despite having a huge dinner, stopped here for ice cream and as very glad I did. Nice place, good ice cream, reasonable prices.

Strawberry's is on the southbound side of the main drag up and down Hutchinson Island, off Jensen Beach. It's in one of those larger, newer strip malls, across from the Marriott Courtyard. One of our party of four had heard they have great burgers and ice cream, so we gave it a try.

It's not a big place -- about 8 booths, with some smaller tables. Lots of windows makes it a bright and cheerful spot, whether on your way to the beach, or like us, coming back from enjoying the water, running with the dog and picking shells. People come and go pretty quickly so it seemed a good turnover in tables, so we didn't see anyone waiting.

You order at the counter, then take your seat and they bring over your meals. The burgers are large and made of 90% lean ground beef, and the taste tells you that these are far better than the greasy, corporate burgers you get at too many other places. Also, the rolls they're on are not your spongy sort but a nice crispy-crust roll, like from a real bakery. Very worth the price, given the quality.

They also offer chicken burgers, if you don't want the beef.

Something unusual: They do not have a fryer here, so they do not make fries. Instead, Strawberry's offers offer fresh, made-on-the-premises cole slaw or pasta salad. Both were excellent and a nice change of pace. You can also get small bags of name-brand chips at the counter.

Three of us had cheeseburgers (they offer four types of cheese to pick from) -- one plain cheeseburger, one with bacon, one a chili burger, all getting raves. The fourth person in our party had the chili dogs, topped with a fine sauerkraut, with the mustard underneath, not what he expected but he liked it anyway.

Between ordering and being served took longer than we expected but because the quality of the food was worth waiting for, once it arrived, we were fine.

Coke is served in real glass Coke bottles, which we didn't discover until we'd already ordered our drinks. Never does Coke taste better than served in chilled glass bottles, so next time, we'll do that for sure.

Something else that's nicely different: our server asked us if we thought we might have ice cream or other dessert. When we replied we probably would, she said she'd keep our tab open. She remembered precisely who we were so she didn't have to guess whose check was whose. A nice touch of quality.

There's a nice selection (24 flavors) of ice cream (Blue Bell, we overheard), also key lime ice cream bars, shaved ice, cookies and fountain drinks. They hand pack ice cream into pints or quarts, as well.

We each finished off with ice cream dishes or cones. Our choices were mint chocolate chip, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate, and strawberry, all met with happy raves.

Tables were wiped down with damp cleaning cloths, no spraying, yay! We did not use the bathrooms so I cannot tell you what they were like, but the place is spotless so I have to assume the bathrooms are as well maintained.

Strawberry's is a quality, delightful, refreshing change for casual meals 11am-10pm, 7 days a week, according to their menu (I don't think they have a web site). And on our next trip to Hutchinson Island, we will definitely plan our day around it.

Stopped in for a single scoop, very good but very small portion for a not so small price. The lady serving us said she really does not like ice cream so maybe that's why she put hardly any in the cup! It was literally lost in the bottom of the take out cup!
