A fun place - they now have a full bar as well as beer and wine. Oh yeah, the food's not bad, either! It's not always super fast if real busy but that's okay because of the setting - drinks, music, friendly people to talk to - or fine dining but lots to choose from; you can also find some things that are healthy, which is really important to us. Of course when you want a greasy burger (happens to all of us) they can take of you too - try the Tsunami. It is flipping huge!!! On the rare occasion there is a problem with service or food the owners are there most of the time and are great about getting things taken care of right away. You'll see them walking around and working right with their crew - Frank and Jan are their names. Check out their Facebook page for updates on the live music they have going just about every day (pet peeve when we look at these and they aren't up-to-date; Kona's is really good about making sure they do the updates.) It's really a pretty fun, relaxing place!

We love sitting outside at Kona Beach Cafe....totally laid back atmosphere. The fish tacos are terrific, service is friendly and helpful. We go back here every time we're in JB...

The location is great. You sit outside amongst the trees and sometimes bugs. They have had live entertainment every time we have been there. The food is basically bar food, but it is the atmosphere that makes this place. Hopefully a train will go by on your visit while the band is there. The service has always been good on our trips to Kona Beach Cafe.

Cute spot! We were there for lunch, but I'm sure Happy Hours are fun with live entertainment. They even have a guy who's job it is to make you comfortable in the heat as he relocates fans to diners.

Tuna tacos have horseradish on them, though it doesn't specify on the menu. They were good if you like horseradish. Chicken sticks are tasty and juicy! Don't forget to order some French Fries for Frenchie, the squirrel. And be sure you have an extra seat at your table for her or she'll be on your lap!

Thanks for stopping by -we're glad that you enjoyed our relaxed atmosphere! To clarify your comment: there is no horseradish in our ahi tacos. We do layer a wasabi sauce on them - the dish is designed to be similar to an ahi sushi roll, with rice, cucumbers, seared ahi, a soy-ginger reduction and wasabi sauce. Hope to see you again!

Stopped for some fish tacos and a pitcher of beer. The wait staff are so friendly. Food is great and the beer is cold!
