Shuckers is a beach places where locals on Hutchinson Island go when they want decent bar food, a couple of drinks and to listen to some decent music without having to cross the causeway to mainland Jensen Beach.
It is co-located within the confines of a time-share and the dining room will remind you of a Holiday Inn Dining Room right on the beach.
When I visited, I had a great salad, a dozen very impressive plump oysters and ribs. Everything was good, but the oysters were stellar.
Prices were reasonable and Shuckers had a guy wearing a porkpie hat who sang and played popular music. He gave a good one man show. His voice was very good.
Don't expect anything fancy. You will get fresh food, decent portions and good value. The dining room gets crowded about 6:00PM, but by 7:30PM the early diners clear out. The place gets a bit quieter as the mood shifts to later diners and those seeking a libation, music and companionship.
