Terrific place to bring the family and yet equally fine for a couple this restaurant is built like a Seminole chickee hut and is decorated in an eclectic manner with many nautical items. The restaurant sits on pilings over the Indian River. You can eat in or outside -- undercover. Even if you sit inside, the "windows" are open and you are breathing in the nice breeze off the river.
There is something for everyone on the menu - fish, burgers, and my favorite conch in many forms. Great mixed drink selection including the famous Bermuda drink -- a Dark and Stormy made with Goslings Black Seal rum and ginger beer. Because the restaurant is perched over the river and the fish in the river are attracted to the lights, it's part of the fun to look over the side and see the fish swirling around hoping for someone to toss them some bread. Kids enjoy the tossing and adults enjoy the watching and taking photos.
It's a fun restaurant but also a place where you can have a nice meal and have the feel of being in something reminiscent of "old Florida." Have eaten here many times and as always, the service is fast, efficient, and friendly.
