“What else could go wrong? Don't ask.”
Reviewed April 30, 2012 via mobile

A group of seven shouldn't be too much trouble or so we thought. We were three couples and a single friend. When the waiter came over, two different people mentioned/asked about knowing who should go on the checks together. He replied "I'll take care of it at the end".

I'll try to be brief here because the mistakes were many and often. Drinks arrived "I ordered it on the rocks". Appetizers arrived "no I didn't order a salad and where is her soup?". Entrees arrive, all six of them (yes we were a party of seven).

Then it got really stupid. The table was cleared - Where is our waiter? After 10 minutes we got a supervisor to find him trying to tally up our orders. So five minutes later, "no we didn't order the salad - remember? You charged us for it". The entree that arrived a bit late was a small not a large that you charged her for. Ok it all got fixed with the supervisors help. Let's pay and get out of here.

It becomes mind boggling at this point. The bills go in the plastic folder that holds the credit card - sounds easy. Three credit cards one cash. Bill #1 - fine. Bill #2 pays with cash. Bill 3 gets charged for party # 4's meals and Bill # 4 gets charged for party # 2's meals and they paid cash. Mysteriously the lowest bill (the single person) had disappeared. This time we asked for the manager on duty to fix what had become a debacle (which I just looked up and defined as a ludicrous failure). That about sums up our visit to Carrabas Jax Beach.

“Wonderful food and service”
Reviewed February 28, 2012

Sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen. My husband had never seen a restaurant kitchen in full swing. The chairs were a bit hard but the cook Jackson was very warm and friendly which made up for it. Food was as excellent like the usual Carrabba quality

“Good Food - Didn't Like Re-design”
Reviewed February 27, 2012

We always find a Carrabbas to eat when we go away; like to compare it to our home Carrabbas in Allentown, PA. While food was consistently good, we did not like the re-design. It aslmost appears that the intent of the design was to bring everyone together into one noisy room. The tall backs of the booths were removed, so you lose that intimate dining feeling. New colors on the walls, and more modern artwork. We prefer the old family pictures. Carrabbas, please re-think this.

“Great Italian cusine”
Reviewed February 25, 2012

The food and the service was good. However, it can get crowded on weekends, so better to come earlier or make reservations.
