My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary during a week night. There were no other guests in the residence. The location is in need of a lot of tender loving care and grounds maintenance. With their directions it was easy to locate and close to the town of Inverness but a bridge was out and instead of driving only a few miles to town for lunch and dinner, it became a 20 mile round trip. The bridge out was not mentioned during the reservations. The inside is quaint and decorated nicely for the holiday season. We walked out the back and noticed facia boards not painted, dirty patio furniture that we could not sit in, a lot of yard work that needed done in the back and we had to watch for pet droppings as we walked in the back yard. We had problems with electronic equipment buzzing while sleeping and had to unplug them. The two people who manage the home are very nice people and carry on a good conversation. It was noted ahead of time there was no wine or beverages served in the afternoon. During the morning, we had an excellent breakfast of a fruit bowl, baked egg and home made muffins we had smelled the night before cooking while watching tv upstairs. Would we stay there again, probably not when there are other bed and breakfasts in the area to try that may be better. For the price, it was a good bargain for a bed and breakfast but not as nice as some hotels for the same price.
