Once you envelope yourself and feel the compassion that surrounds you.. You will truly find it hard to leave and to say.. why have I not known of this sanctuary before! There are a multitude of different birds to observe. You learn of how they are saved from their injury and how you may also help in their rescue and care! The Gift Shop is full of different knick knacks, books ,paintings and jewelery involving all areas of the bird life you have observed! It is worth the visit! Try to also go late in the day to see how the birds change their behavior! The sanctuary works in a non profit manner and you may give by donation! You will truly find a feathered creature to adopt in your heart!

I actually brought this place and abandoned baby owl. The took it in immediately and kept me abreast of his recovery until they could release him back to the wild.

We go there to see all the Florida wildlife birds that were taken in and spared. some to be released, others have permanent homes here. Worth a trip. Free admission but I always give a generous donation.
