“Worth it to stop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2012

Considering the sheer number of birds that reside and visit this sanctuary the place was very clean. All the cages and enclosures were tidy and lacked visible feces. They obviously clean everything daily. It was a bit smelly but that is to be expected. It was a great experience to anyone wandering the beach but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

“Wonderful Rescue Facility”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2012

My grandchildren loved seeing the rescued and rehabilitating wild fowl and they also loved the gift shop. They insisted on purchasing some Dawn to take back for a donation, as donations is how they survive. We always are happy to monetarily support this free attraction as they do wonderful work.

“For the Injured and their Families”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2012

So many injured birds - and sometimes their families hang out on the outside of the nets or on the beach. Birds come from miles around to get fixed and healed. So moving especially when the little ones hatch!

“Close up look”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2012

We enjoyed being able to see these wonderful birds up close. Enjoyed seeing the many Pelicans nesting and babies of various ages. Didn't even mind when one pooped on me!

“See the Birds on the beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2012

Sanctuary is a bit sad, but there are lots of birds that hang out on the beach by it, so that made it interesting.
