“Below expectations, but still worth a visit!”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

Had to try Keegan's, being a DDD destination. With that always comes high expectations!
We went with a few appies to spread the variety around. Tried the charbroiled octopus, which was very tender and tasty, but we had to remove the slimy skin as it wasn't enjoyable with it on.
Crab soup was good, very rich of course.
Tried the spicy battered shrimp, great! Crab cake was loaded with crab, yummy.
We were told they had a great greek salad, but we'd had better on our visit.
Service was pleasant, food came quickly and hot.
A must for anyone visiting!

“Great dinner,”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

We look for DDD places everywhere we go, so we had to try Keegan's. There were only two of us so we were seated quickly. We had the charbroiled octopus - delicious and the conch fritters. The sangria was different, they add cinnamon to the white and the red. For dinner we ate the shrimp and scallop dinner. The service was very good and so was the food. We will be back.

“Love this DDD joint, but would like to try more items.”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

We came here on our vacation because it was featured on the Food Network. The she crab soup was out of this world. However, the octopus and blackened Mahi Mahi were average to good.

If we go back we will be ordering the fried grouper and shrimp. The people next to us have amazing looking dishes. This is definite worth a stop, but be sure to order what looks best.

“Excellent Dinner”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We were looking for something away from the crowds at Clearwater Beach and found Keegans on Trip Advisor. We had always wanted to try an Triple-D restaurant and were happy to stumble on one. We had the grilled octopus appetizer which turned out be the most tender octopus we've ever had. My wife had the triple tail special and I had grouper and both were excellent. The key lime pie was homemade and very tasty. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

“Great grouper”
Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner here last night. It was packed out. Luckily we arrived just before the rush. Our table was right by the door so we had to endure all the traffic. I ordered the fried grouper.. It was cooked perfect. Lightly battered and juicy. I was most impressed with the fact they use fresh corn on the cob. It's those little things that makes me want to return. My husband had fried oysters.. They were huge and cooked perfect as well. We would definitely eat here again.
