“A perfect hideaway”
Reviewed February 11, 2009

Mary, Lee and Paul at Gulfside Resorts take care of their properties as though they lived there themselves. Each unit is unique, very clean, and lovely. We were able to upgrade to a unit facing the gulf and it was well worth it. The weather turned cold for half of our stay, but we were so comfortable we didn't mind a bit. The beach is pristine and natural - the town of Indian Rocks Beach does not allow large hotels on the Gulf side. There are plenty of fine restaurants, many within walking distance. For us it was a perfect, laid-back week away from a nasty Chicago winter.

We stayed at the Gulfside last week, and it was just a wonderful experience. This is my first review ever, and that is just the kind of joyous time we had. The place is quiet, spackle clean and located at the perfect spot. The owners are marvelous, and beach awesome.

Highly highly recommend the place. 5 stars is not enough...

We (a couple in our mid 20s) went on our first vacation together over the summer and were very pleased with our decision to stay at Sarah's Seaside of Gulfside Resorts. We stayed in a studio cottage (306A), which was just perfect for the two of us. We used the loft to store our luggage, which worked out nicely. There were plenty of towels (including beach towels), and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils and basically anything else you would need. We enjoyed our private patio equipped with a BBQ pit. Just a short walk from the pool and beach, it was perfect for lunch and snack breaks in the shade. The pool was great, although, we were very strategic about timing our trips to the pool as there were families with quite a few children. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it, and the surroundings were fantastic. I really can't say enough about the landscaping. It truly made us feel like we were in paradise. We enjoyed every walk to and from the beach and pool. There were plenty of pool and beach toys available (boogie boards, kayaks, tubes, etc.). The location was great, too. There were a few restaurants within walking distance, as well as a CVS store. And we were close (but not too close) to some other great attractions. Overall, the place was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. I would absolutely recommend Gulfside Resorts to my friends and family (or anyone), and would definitely consider staying there again in the future.

  • Liked — The beautiful surroundings; short walk to the beach.
  • Disliked — There could be more parking spaces.

This was our first family vacation in three years and we wanted our trip to be special. We scoured internet travel sites and settled on accommodations at Sarah's Seaside, a small collection of villas and cottages on the beach.

We knew we made the right decision the moment we arrived. The entire property was absolutely beautiful and inviting. Our villa was nicely decorated, very clean, lacking nothing.

We initially planned to visit surrounding towns and tourist attractions during our stay; but decided instead to enjoy the surroundings... chasing geckos, building sandcastles, collecting shells and watching pelicans plunge into the surf. In the evenings, we took in spectacular sunsets, followed by a short walk to a variety of great restaurants. Sarah's Seaside is a special place indeed.

Just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at Sarah's Seaside. We stayed there 7 years ago & have talked about it, the beach, the restaurants, ever since & have always wanted to go back. Only regret is that we waited so long to return. We won't be making that mistake again. We have already contacted them to see about booking up for 2010

We just returned from Gulfside Resorts in Inidan Rocks Beach, Florida. We had an absolutely fantastic time. We stayed in the 810 Gulfside units and had a beautiful view of the Gulf and saw some amazing sunsets from the terrace. The accomodations were spacious enough for 4 of us (2 parents and 2 toddlers) and they came well and fully stocked with all necessary items, were comfortably decorated and very clean. Being able to cook and maintain a normal routine w/2 small children was a huge relief. Each unit has a grill outside and a quaint iron table and chairs that allowed you to hang out, watch the kids, and chat w/your neighbors. There is a washer and dryer on the premises which made keeping up w/the laundry a breeze.
Our kids didn't leave the sparkling clean pool the whole time! They loved playing in the water and the shower by the beach. They also loved going to the Kooky Coconut for ice cream every night after dinner. The greatest thing about the location is that it truly feels like a beach community, but everything you could possibly need (drugstore, grocery, target, fast food, and malls) is only a short drive away. I truly felt like I was at home and really didn't want to leave at the end of the week.

We are already planning our return trip - can't wait to go back!

We just returned from a picture perfect week in Indian Rocks Beach, Fl. This was our first visit to this quiet little beach town and we have already booked a return visit at Gulfside resorts for next year! We stayed at 810 Gulfside and loved how quiet and relaxing it was. The cottages at Gulfside and at Sarah's Seaside are adorable! You spend the week with the same folks coming and going from the beach/pool each day which was nice. We walked to some great casual restaurants. Our teenage son loved walking to the Kooky Coconut for his daily ice cream. We road the bicycles on site and all the guests took turns kayaking right off the beach! It was one of the most relaxing weeks ever.

Can't wait to get back there!
