“Real French pastry that is excellent.”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

A little pricy but very good, coffee does not get refilled (free)!!

Crapes are very flavorful but a knife is needed to cut them.

Overall a great place.

“Service is great. Food is just edible.”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

I visited this morning for breakfast. Found the service to be very good, and quick. The place was packed, just after opening.

I tried two different sweet crepe's. I had the Crepe Suzette, and the Poire Belle Helene Crepe. The Crepe Suzette is a sugar crepe with a Grand Marnier topping. The sugar crepe itself without the topping around the edge was very good. And if I return, I would stick with the basic sugar crepe. The Grand Marnier topping on the crepe was very overwhelming. It had a strong alcohol flavor, and no real orange flavor to it at all. The garnish on the plate was a large dollop of whipped cream. This did not taste fresh, and was evident to me, restaurant bag type product.

The Poire Belle Helene Crepe is a pear, chocolate, almond crepe. The pears were limp with little to no taste. They were obviously canned and not fresh pears. The chocolate was an average fudge type chocolate that could be obtained at any grocery. The almond slivers were limp and lifeless with no quality of a nut or "snap" when you chew them.

They do have a very beautiful pastry case. And I will have to attempt to return some time to try the options available. Today however was quite a let down, and I have no desire to return too soon.

“Incomparable pastries!!”
Reviewed March 20, 2014 via mobile

This place has always been bustling busy when I visited it- first sign that something good is going on here.
My companions love coffee and attest to the fact that the different variations offered here are good.
The various breakfast/brunch/lunch quicches are freshly made and extremely tasty.
The staff are friendly and efficient so don't be deterred by a long line. The Frech chef is a feature and if you're lucky you can share a repartee with him.
But (for me), the essence of the place is in the baked goods. I am a bakery fiend and the pastries here are some of the finest you will ever come across. The cream cheese croissants, fruit danishes and filled beignets are so good that perhaps it's wrong to even try them as you'll be condemned to failing comparisons wherever else you go.
No, go ahead, try it!!

“Tres Bien”
Reviewed February 25, 2014

Stopped for breakfast and had buckwheat crepes stuffed with ham, cheese, and eggs. Delicious and gluten free, yet. They have tons of pastries and variations of coffees as well as lunch soups and sandwiches. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. Will return when in the area.
