This was our third visit to Rum Fire Grill. We always order something new and we've loved everything so far. The service and atmosphere are great. This is definitely our new favorite place to dine.

“Mediocre meal”
Reviewed December 26, 2013 via mobile

We stopped in for dinner at 8:30 Thursday night and ordered the seafood mix grill special and their rum island pasta special of the day. The pasta was the clear winner but not by much. Although it is located next to the sea, the seafood was less than interesting, much of it was bland and the rice tasted funny, not in a good way. The shrimp was just ok, the crab cake was not flavourful and the fish was also flavourless. The part was the green beans. All that for $60 and just a passing grade. Shame.

“Excellent Both Times”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

Four of us ate there in the evening when we arrived in the area after a long drive. We wanted to eat light, and ended up ordering appetizers, wine and desserts. The wait person was very helpful in making suggestions from the appetizer list. We were all pleased with our selections. We enjoyed the experience so much we returned a few nights later for a "real" dinner. Each of us order a different fish entree, and we were all quite impressed. And we repeated some of the desserts from our first visit. As I recall the desserts are prepared by a relative of the owner. All inn all a nice restaurant and a pleasant experience.

“Good to the last bite”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

Please note that this restuarant also did business as Rum Fire Grill; now renamed, but still the same owners. We had dined for lunch here a while ago, but this was our first dinner. Really nice atmosphere- upscale contemporary. Great service from hostess and wait staff. Food was delightful; all the side salads ( spinach, mixed greens and caesar),were tried and found to be very good. Entrees of grouper and salmon were fresh and very well prepared; delicious, of course. An appetizer of coconut shrimp was enormous (enough for an entree) and also quite tasty. Even though we were stuffed, we shared a bread pudding; a huge portion and really wonderful flavor and texture- all desserts are made on site. We will definitely go there again! Not cheap, not expensive but worth the money!

“A local masterpiece!”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

We decided to try Rum Island Grill to stay local! Wow, were we pleased. We all had something different.....a grouper with a citrus glaze, coconut shrimp appetizer, herb crusted salmon. Not only were the entrees beautifully plated, they were absolutely delicious as well! We usually do not have dessert but tonight could not resist the bread pudding! It was an OMG moment!! We had a great waiter too. His name was Ryan! We will return sooner than later!
