The Chassahowitzka Hotel

Our group of 16 golfers has been going up to this hotel for the last 7 years and will continue for the foreseeable future. The accomadations for large groups is perfect. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and you pretty much have the run of the place.
If you are a golfer, World Woods is 5 minutes away and rates as #23 out of the top 100 golf courses in the USA.The Pine Barrens especially will challenge the very best golfers.
If you like to fish they have several guilds that take you out to the Gulf of Mexico for some of the best fishing around. Truly an old Florida hotel located near the river and a great place kick back and relax.

Room Tip: great for large groups of golfers, fisherman or family re-unions

We would like to thank you as well as David and the ladies for all the hard work you put into making our stay an enjoyable one. We all found that the hospitality showed to us by the people at the Chaz, as well as the locals that we met while we were down there, were all top notch. Everyone wanted to make sure that we had everything to make our trip enjoyable.
Golf in the area was good with some great layouts.
The food was excellent and always on time. The fish fry was the highlight for me.
We will most likely be back.

There are some great courses in the area, and this made for an exceptional 'home base'. Good food, nice rooms and great service. A very comfortable and relaxed place to finish each day. David, Jeff and all the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great trip.

Twelve ladies stayed at the hotel while playing golf. Jeff, the "inn keeper" was helpful in arranging tee times at area courses. Our meals were wonderful and the atmoshoere was very relaxing. We found the rooms clean and the bathrooms were spotless. It was so nice to have the whole place to ourselves. We enjoyed our time at the hotel.

Room Tip: There are several arrangement of rooms, handicap, single doubel triple.

My son Clay and his bride Hali had their wedding at the Chaz Hotel in October. It could not have been better,,,from the beautiful surroundings, the well coordinated assistance with all the wedding details, the clean and comfortable rooms, the delicious food, etc. They even helped us arrange the surprise Scottish piper's entrance to the reception. Thank you so very much for being a huge part of a wonderful wedding and many happy memories. karen turville

What a picture perfect place to have a wedding. We were there October 2012 for our small wedding of 30. I couldn't recommend them more. Jeff, was a fantastic organizer and executed the evening perfectly. The food was amazing, and everyone loved the pork. The grounds were exceptionally clean and gave a great backdrop for photos. We had the ceremony outside under the oak tree. Then we went to the dock about a half mile away for water front pictures. The hotel was spotless and the rooms were perfect for our guests. We also rented their "miss maggie house" for the evening, and it was such a cute, clean, and perfect place to get ready for the wedding, and a private place to go to when it was over. Everything, I mean everything was better than we could have expected. I can't belive what an amazingly affordable package we ended up with. It was far under what we had estimated, and they really went above and beyond. They allowed us to bring in decorations and set them up as we liked. And, they even saved the day when I forgot my earrings. Jeffs wife let me borrow hers for the event and they were perfect, such thoughtful people. If you are planning a wedding and want a natural backdrop, rooms for guests, and a delicious dinner in a clean, professionally ran historic hotel for a great price look no further. We will be back to rent the miss maggie home for a weekend on the river. Thanks again to everyone at the Chazz that made our day perfect. Hali and Clay Turville

Our group of 6 recently returned from a golf trip to World Woods and a stay at the Chassahowitzka Hotel. I must say the hospitality and planning was excellent.
Jeff was our cordial host who took great care to meet any need we had. Tee times, dinner reservations, breakfast, etc. - everything was ready to go when we arrived and went off without a hitch. We had 2 people at the hotel which was extremely immaculate and included all the amenities. Four of us stayed at the Miss Maggie House across the street which afforded us the room to play cards, settle bets, watch sports, and tip a few.

Another bonus is the Chassahowitzka Lodge across the street which has cheap beer, pool table, and some great dry rub chicken wings. A great local bar you can walk to.

Our group could not have been happier with the trip and I would highly recommend including the Chassahowitzka Hotel as your base when playing at World Woods
