Charley, the owner/chef, warmly greeted us as Kenyon seated us at our familiar table. Tonight I sampled the vegan sushi platter. My brother enjoyed Jasimine Chicken fried rice. We both asked for the Jasimine tea as our beverage. We enjoyed the fried rice chips with the customary dips while we waited for our entrees. The venue was busy that night, so it took awhile for our meals to arrive at table. Yet it was not an inordinately long wait. Soon Kenyon came smiling with our platters. I am not vegan but i wanted to sample what Charley would make for a vegan friend if he asked for a sushi platter. Wow! The result was fabulous! It consisted of a nice array of various oriental vegetables wrapped in a soft blanket of steamed rice. Dipping sauces were provided also. They made these vegan delights wonderful to eat! I like the crunchy vegetables very much with the szechuan mustard as well as two other fabulous tasting dips. My brother told me his Jasimine platter was delicious. He asked that it be served without bean sprouts and the Chef complied by adding more of the other vegetables. Our meals were a wonderful culinary experience! You simply have to try the meals at this Bistro! You will be delighted and your wallet won't take such a beating like it does at some other local eating establishments.
