Having found your beautiful accomadation by accident, I have to say how lucky we felt we were as accidents do not normally result in such good fortune.
Our (all to short) stay was idealic – we stayed in the Sunset room, which mixed style and elegance in a really enchanting room. In addition to being very spacious, comfortable, spotless and pretty, there was most beautiful view of the ocean which could be enjoyed from the private deck off of the bedroom.
Add to this lovely staff and sumptuous breakfasts and you have the perfect B & B.

What a wonderful place to celebrate our 30th anniversary! Everyone is so kind and helpful....always willing to help you with whatever you might need. We felt so at home from the moment we walked into the house. If you're a beachlover, you can't find a more beautiful and quiet beach than this one.. . .you are literally steps away. We stayed in the Sunset Room which had French doors leading out to our private balcony What a beautiful view, and the room was spotless! The breakfast's were delicious and there were always choices for those of us who had special dietary needs. The homemade oatmeal bread toast was my husband's favorite. We would highly recommend Harrington House and will definitely be back!

The room was immaculate. The staff was helpful and polite. The view was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and flexible (we were offered any style of eggs in addition to the specialty of the morning), which is a nice surprise at a B&B. We made our reservations for next year before we left.

What a beautiful location - we stayed in Huth House which was right on the beach - only a 5 min stroll along the sand to the main building where we had breakfast. The room was very comfortable and the shower was amazing. All of the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. We will definately return.

We attended a convention in Orlando on Labor Day weekend, and then after that, three couples went to Holmes Beach for three days. We three couples are still talking about the great time we had at the Harrington House and the adjacent beach. It was a splendid arrangement, with the accommodations even better than we had expected.

We had Dodt House #3, the only "apartment" unit that will accommodate three couples. Three bedrooms, all with queen beds, and two bathrooms -- which we designated "one for the boys and one for the girls." The kitchen, dining room and sitting area were all a generous size -- with a screened-in porch, and an outside deck facing the beach as well -- lots of space. Everything was clean and functional as it should be. We really loved the accommodations. Even had a washer & dryer, of which we had no advance knowledge.

Breakfast was wonderful, and different, each morning. Everything was made to order for us (and therefore fresh & hot) at our table of six, whenever we chose to arrive. I wish we had eaten breakfast outside around the pool at least one of the three mornings -- it looked very inviting. But like creatures of habit, we sat inside in the same seats each day.

Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. They even split our bill in thirds, charging 1/3 to each of our separate credit cards -- which, by the way, averaged $150/couple/day -- an excellent value.

We had absolutely no complaint whatsoever -- only that we couldn't stay longer. Since we are from three different cities (St. Louis, KC & Sioux Falls), it will probably be difficult for us to reunite there again -- but if it were possible, we would all do it again in a heartbeat!

(My only suggestion would be that they update their website and confirmations with the correct information -- e.g. they say that Dodt #3 can only accommodate two couples, and that one of the bedrooms only has a double bed -- both of which are incorrect.)

Lastly, a note about dinner. While our two complete/full days there had beautiful weather, it was raining (sometimes heavily) on our day of arrival, and rather than venture out to unknown places in the rainy dusk, we just had Domino's pizza and salads delivered to our apartment. In all honesty, we thought this modest dinner around our own dining room table, listening to the rain on the roof, was our most intimate/cozy experience while we were there. The second evening we went to the Sandbar Restaurant, based on a solid recommendation from a convention friend who lives in the Tampa area. We liked it so much, we went back there on the third evening too! (see separate evaluation on TripAdvisor)
