Try the scallops and the salmon -- superior! Our waiter was attentive and personable and never intrusive. We'll be back.

“Good food but overpriced and too cramped.”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Great location and really good food, but also overpriced for portions. They're not gonna care though. They are usually packed, so people pay the prices. And speaking of packed, tables are so close together you are practically sitting on top of each other. We watched waiters struggling with trays. Our neighboring table actually made comments to us about what we were ordering and eating. So much for romantic dinner! It was impossible to block out other conversations. Probably won't go again unless someone treats us.

“Always great!”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Beach Bistro is one of the all time great restaurants anywhere in the world. The entire experience is always great and I have never, in 15 years, been disappointed in this restaurant. The wine list is extensive and is one of the best in the US that I have encountered. Go there without hesitation.

“Most Wonderful Place to Watch Sunset on Anna Maria Island”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

Go to the bar half an hour before sunset, get a drink, and take it outside. Slip off your shoes, dig your feet into the sand and sit in one of the restaurants Adirondack chairs and watch the most gorgeous sunset. Stay after the sunset to see the "after glow". Incredible. and no one is there-- every other restaurant is packed and the beach much more crowded. Then go in for a fantastic dinner-- try the lobster escargot (lobster chunks instead of snails--much much better) a great Caesar salad, wonderful heirloom tomato soup, awesome lamb and beef fillets and some incredible desserts-- like the chocolate truffle pie with home made ice cream. This place is expensive-- high class service--but we think its worth it. You can also eat at the bar. We like that the restaurant offers small plates of everything and they have tons of options. Free valet parking--kind of hilarious because the guy runs 10 feet to get your car. It's an issue of being in a residential area so you have to valet--my son does a whole comedy skit mimicking the valet guy. He is so earnest! Overall its a very romantic place with long stemmed roses on each table and again gorgeous view right on the beach. Tiny with only 15 tables in the restaurant -- a few more in the bar. This restaurant also owns Eat Here nearby which is also great-- low key, casual and funky.
