“Unacceptable”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

Our party of three had an order of the eggplant parm and two orders of the seafood special, (pompano fish etc.). The undercooked eggplant with musty tasting pasta was sent back and appropriately taken off the check. The remaining two entrees of pompano were served on a cold platter with an unimpressive array of steamed veggies and frozen shrimp and scallops. Additionally, I had to leave the table to ask for three waters, as the lone waitperson never once asked if we needed anything. Really? Please, don't bother.

“Not sure how they got the tripadvisor aware they prominently display?”
Reviewed October 28, 2011

My wife and I visited this restaurant with a coupon that we downloaded and glad that we had a coupon. They are rated number four for Holmes beach because Holmes beach is so small there are only 10 restaurants in the little town. So don't let the #4 fool you, the food was overpriced, but decently prepared, glad we had a coupon to offset the price. The meal started on a bad note with the bread served "warm from the oven" the waiter later explained, it was stall and we returned it without request for more. The waiter's comment when returned was that it gets that way when they put it in the oven. We didn't order a salad because that was extra and fro the price it should have been included.
I agree with a previous review that the place needs some cosmetic help. the wait staff was I must say very attentive, One suggestion for a restaurant that tries to be a little upscale, seat your guests, the worse thing a guest wants to here is "just go ahead and seat yourself". That takes away from the beginning experience and adds a diner attitude, especially when there was a host just playing with his phone as you walked into the restaurant. We will not be returning.

“Alright, but nothing special”
Reviewed October 18, 2011

We had the Surf&Turf and the salmon. Both were cooked as they should be, liked the sweet potatoes and the added veggies. The food was nice but nothing extraordinary. The prices for the dishes are a bit on the high side. We found the interior of the restaurant awful. Black plastic table clothes, brown walls... drab and not cosy or elegant. Staff is quick and pleasant.

“Inedible food - my first bad restaurant review”
Reviewed October 16, 2011

I hate to write a bad review, because I know a restuarant can build a reputation over time, that said I want to warn fellow Maria Island visitors 'The Movable Feast'

Cost: 20-25$ per dinner entree = expensive
Atmosphere: Although located in an old strip mall, it was intimate and cosy
Service: Good, but shortstaffed
Food: One word describes this 'Inedible'
It was a horrible experience, and insulting because I believe the staff knew they were serving food that was not fresh. The fish was misrepresented, and it was stale. The soup was made with cream that had gone bad. It was disgusting.

Do not be fooled by the appearances or the reviews below, if they can serve inedible food, then they do not deserve to be in the restuarant business, I am convinced their kitchen does not adhere to food safety standards.

I have never written a bad review but I had to take some time to help fellow Anna Maria visitors.

“Excellent Food”
Reviewed October 6, 2011

This was a great place for food! Hidden away in a strip mall, the food here is excellent. We really enjoyed our visit. I had the seafoos with tomatoe sauce, wifey had the chicken special. Both were perfect. You will like the prices as well. They are not out to gouge tourists like another place on this island!!
