We were out riding our bikes and decided to stop in for a bit. On first glance it looked a wee bit over priced but went a head and got in the long line to order. We decided to share the fried clams platter and I'm glad we did. It came with more than enough for two and was really good. Lots of plump clams , fries and cole slaw . I would like a little bigger thing of cole slaw but we were full and happy with our food. You cannot find a better view anywhere and can sit barefoot in the sand. They do have a full bar if you want a libation!

Loved this place for breakfast. It is directly on the beach and such fun. They advertise "all you can eat pancakes" and we saw some people taking that offer to heart.
Food is ordered at "the window" and then brought to your table by a server. Everything was fresh and tasty.
They also do lunch, sunset drinks with live music and dinner.
They even have free wifi.

Your first encounter with Kathy at the cafe window will let you know that you're not a customer, you're family. Warm and friendly from the start and it gets better from there. Manatee Beach has a view of sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico that cannot be beat. A great beach, a wonderful playground right on the beach for kids, live music every nite of the week - music and musicians you want to stay and listen to - a bar that ranges from draft beer and drinks to sno cones, and a menu of dinner choices that is perfect beach fare. The conch fritters are just perfect. the local version of a Philly Cheesesteak is a worthy contender, and the Friday all-you-can-eat Fish n' Chips are a choice you really won't want to pass on... It's a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a sunset dinner. bring your camera. bring your friends. or, just buy some postcards at the gift shop next store and tell your friends and family what they are missing. I am not one to give praise for restaurants, there's usually something that could be better. At this Cafe on the beach, I am happy to share good news - ya gotta put it on your must-do list.

We went here for the all you can eat pancakes and were treated terribly by a staff member. Having never been there we didn't know how or where to go to order so we asked a staff member where we had to go to order and the lady at the register basically yelled at us like we should know what we are doing. Apparently there are two ordering areas? It was embarrassing being berated in front of the other customers there. My husband promptly turned around and said "Let's go". So we left.
If there were any signs, we didn't see any. My son was heartbroke that he didn't get to eat all the pancakes he wanted. Too bad that they couldn't just be nice to us! :(

Great outdoor beach restaurant. Self-service, place your order and a very friendly staff member will deliver a generous portion of your favorite food. Not only do you get to watch a beautiful sunset while dining, but you have live entertainment as well. Great place to meet family and friends ! You will not be Disappointed !!!
