“Nice food on the Broadwalk”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

I knew Florio's must have been pretty good, because we had to wait for a table. We had a Greek salad, G3 pizza, and some wine. The food was really good, and it was nice sitting outside for our meal.

The only downside was the blaring "techno" type music coming from an old speaker right over our table. It was annoying to begin with.. and then someone turned up the volume. My advice to the owner would be to turn off the music, or at least have something more "soothing" playing.

But overall the food was really good, and I enjoyed my meal.

“Beautiful setting!”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

This was our second time visiting. This time is was much quieter and lovely to sit by the ocean and enjoy pizza. The pizza is yummy, as is the grilled salmon and pasta. If your looking for something super casual this is for you. Reasonably priced-surf and turf was $14.95.

“A Slice of Italy in Hollywood”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

Hop a trolley to the Hollywood Boardwalk and be sure to get pizza from this guy! We were staying at the Crowne Plaza and we usually eat a few times on the Boardwalk, but this was our first time at Florios.

It's casual, very casual, right on the beach/boardwalk, so the people watching is good. They have indoor and outdoor dining. Service was top-notch and the place was about 50% full. We had the Calimari...which was good or maybe a little better than good. The pizza rocked the house though! We had the 3G Pizza (cooked in a stone hearth oven) Fresh tomato, ricotta, mozarella, basil and garlic...thank you!

We were served by what appeared to be the owner, because man, he was on his game... We enjoyed a carafe of the house chianti...it was chilled, which we thought was odd, but understood perhaps why, when within 10 minutes, it was room temp..LOL..I guess when it's 90 degrees and humid...you start chilled and it warms up...you start warm and it ends up hot...

We will definitely go back and try some of the other pizzas.

“Great Spot!Great Pizza!”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Great walk-up window Pizza. This is the old site of Angelo's but the new owners have done a great job keeping the pizza taste as good as it used to be!
