We ate at the Moonlite Diner the night before leaving on a cruise as it is within walking distance of the Comfort Inn Airport in Hollywood. When we came in, we asked to be seated beside 3 couples we had met at the hotel as we were all leaving on the same cruise the next morning. Apparently this request caused them to think we were a party of 8 because they added the gratuity to our check which is customary with larger groups dining together.

My husband ordered the chicken fried steak dinner which included mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables and a roll. It included 2 pieces of chicken fried steak, so the portion was very generous.

I ordered the chicken quesadillas. They had a lot of chicken in them but they weren't as spicy as I would have preferred but they were very filling.

Would we eat there again? Yes, we would because overall the experience was pretty enjoyable. The waitresses were friendly and accommodating and knew a lot of customers by name, so apparently they are regulars.

Our waitress was uninterested, our food was really average quality but when considering the price, poor quality. The decor was not that impressive. There are so many other really good restaurants to eat in the area for the same price or better, one right on the Commercial pier! Avoid this tourist trap.

Spotted this old-time diner near the La Quinta hotel and had to stop in for lunch. Had the Hawaiian panini which was very good, and a vanilla milkshake - made just like in the old days! Service was efficient and the meal was great.

This diner had character, it had all the old diner items on the menu. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable. The service could have been better, but we went late and the staff seemed tired. I would go again!

We went several times, alone, with friends, and family. Everyone liked the diner. Nice selection of entrees. It is my daughter's favorite place to eat. What is nice, it is a short walk from the hotel.
