We called first since it was a large group. They said come on in. We had to sit all over, not together (18 of us) but we were looking at the walls, listening to music, checked out the beautiful view. The drinks took too long to come, the food longer, but if Oprah said it was the best, we had to try it. Food was generous, salads were fresh. Tables, a bit sticky.

Located on a sliver of land between A1A and the inter coastal this standby is almost all shaded, outdoor seating with a great water view, decorated with beach finds like flipper, fishing stuff, toilets, sinks and yes, bath tubs. Dock your boat out front, or park in the tiny, exciting parking lot. Expect a great burger and wonder queen crab legs, a perfect rum punch and cold beer. Service can be heavenly or hellish - you never know, but who cares? It's fun. Go!

Perhaps the most extreme restaurant experience we've had in nearly eight years in Miami, Le Tub still doesn't merit more than a "terrible" rating, since we did not actually get served!

Le Tub's wildly over-loaded, small kitchen needed more than an hour to serve our hungry family a few of their vaunted burgers. So after nearly an hour of waiting in this nautical roadhouse-meets-latrine-themed shack, we threw in the towel and left. Our waitress was unapologetic, surly, and indifferent, and I did have to pay for the sodas they were able to serve us during our long wait.

Striking me as a place best suited for the inebriated Jimmy Buffett crowd, Le Tub is not for families and borders on disgraceful. That said, there's a market for everything--even drunks need to eat at some point.

Oh yes..their gravel parking lot had riff -raff hanging about it, too--not sure if they were affiliated with this dump, but perhaps that's precisely the point here.

We heard this was the 'best burger ever,' so my boyfriend Mike and I had to check it out, as we love us some good burgers. We had such an awkward experience, we will talk about this for years to come, but not in a good way. And we will never... go... back.

They do not have a hostess or a wait list. You are told, "go ahead and seat yourselves." Well, that might be fine when it's not busy, but this was a Saturday evening. We started wandering around the restaurant (which is an old, converted gas station on the Intercoastal - very cool if you like that kind of thing). Not only were we looking for a table, so were about 7-8 other parties. So now we are all roaming around past each other, back and forth, down this row, up the stairs, around the side - stop at the Gatorade cooler to have some free water (which we needed after doing this for over 90 minutes!!!) - wander back around, pass the same people again who are also TRYING to 'seat themselves.' (I wanted to start shouting 'Marco' to see if I could get the other groups wandering around to join in the game. At least it would have passed the time.) We ended up hovering next to a table through the last of their meal, waiting and lurking like vultures so we could claim their table when they finished. It was one of the most uncomfortable restaurant experiences I have ever had, although after an hour, Mike and I just started laughing because it was just too ridiculous. (We started joking that the restaurant put in the free water coolers after some previous patron suffered heat stroke after walking a 5K around the restaurant looking for a table.)

Finally sit down and the server tells us anything we order is going to take an hour. Ordered the burger and I asked for sautéed mushrooms, but they don't offer mushrooms - ever. Asked for sautéed onions and was told they will only serve their onions raw. (Really???? It's that hard to throw some onions on the grill for five minutes??) Food didn't take nearly as long as the server said, but still took a long time for a burger (45 minutes). Burger was huge, but really, really, REALLY bland and so not worth the wait.

A little pricey for a burger joint, but you are paying for the Intercoastal waterway view (if you manage to score a table by the water). Burger was blah, and from speaking with a few people, apparently the 'seat yourself' portion of the night is how it always is, so you should go about an hour or two before you are ready to eat, or at a "non-busy" time/day. Also, our server was not pleasant, or personable. If I want a good burger, I'll hit Charm City Burgers in Deerfield. A lot closer for me, better service, better prices, and the burgers are delish.
