“Don't expect a lot”
Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

It's a dive bar with mediocre dive bar grub. Do not be swayed by the over zealous menu and its discriptions. Stick to buckets of beer, the great view and fried zucchini. That is what they do well. If you know that going in you will be fine.

“Slow service”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

This place is ok...you can sit out on the deck by the water, which is nice. The service for us was terrible!!!! waited 15 min to get a waitress then another 15 to get our drinks and order food....waited 20 mins for our check. The food was OK but very high priced!

“Great View, the Food "Pooh"”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

As a Hollywood local for 20 years, I used to enjoy coming here, especially with out-of-town guests, but the last year, and especially my last 3 visits, has proven that Capone's needs to make some big changes in their food. I have never had the pizza which is their mainstay, but I can certainly comment on their seafood dishes.

Last night was a bit of a bust-overcooked, rubbery, medicinal tasting "fresh wild" grouper. The side of coleslaw was very average. On a positive note, the kaiser roll it was served on was decent. My husband's fish special, which was in a kind of vegetable broth, was just "OK," but the pasta it was served over was somewhat mushy and not appetizing. Our garlic rolls were served hot and fresh, but they were not at all crispy. They tasted and felt more like sweet rolls. In an effort not to be completely negative, the waitstaff was nice and very accommodating. The view from our table of the Intercoastal was lovely. Hollywood has quite a few restaurants with this view, and in addition they have very good food. So why would I want to choose Capone's over them? If Capone's wants my business in the future, the owners and management need to do something about the food, perhaps change chefs. I have lots of relatives still coming down. Are you listening, Capone's?

“Sports Bar”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Got there 1/2 before the basketball game on ESPN started and the jukebox was on. We asked 3 people if we could turn the game sound on when it started at 6:00 and they all said it wouldn't be a problem, so we got some drinks and apps. When 6:00 rolled around they said NO. We left immediately. They could have just told me the truth when I got there and that would have been fine.....
