This B&B is a great place to stay. The hosts are very welcoming and as a result one feels relaxed and comfortable. The breakfast is terrific and they make every effort to provide whatever you want. The location is terrific as well; just steps to the beach and the Hollywood broadwalk. A safe place to walk at night. We plan to return at our earliest opportunity.

We stayed at Hollywood By the Sea last week and we had a wonderful time! Our beautiful room was cleaned every day and the hospitality was top notch! Diana and Mike are a friendly, warm fun couple and really made our stay worthwhile. They had some out of town family visit one night, but they invited us to join them and we had a great barbecue by the pool and had a great time - everyone was super nice!
Mike is an excellent cook and made us the best omelets ever! All of the other guests that we met were very pleased and said they loved staying there and were repeat customers. Trust me - this place is fabulous and we will stay again and again.

Our stay at Hollywood by the Sea was wonderful. Between the ocean breeze, comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts and outstanding hospitality (Diana and Mike are wonderful hosts!), we were very happy with our three night stay at the B&B. It was clean, atmospheric, quiet and only a stone's throw from the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.

We stayed here during the week of March 24th, 2007 for three nights, then went on to Key West for four nights. Of the entire trip, I felt most at home at Hollywood by the Sea B&B, and had the best sleeps. The first two nights we stayed in the Marguerite room, which is very private and comfortable. The third night we stayed in the Oceana suite, which also seemed private, with a view of the ocean. The building is big enough that you feel as though you're the only people staying there! Until breakfast, when you meet other travellers and share your stories over your breakfast of choice - omelettes, pancakes, french toast, you name it.

If you're looking for a casual retreat at a reasonable rate, that includes an amazing breakfast, this is an excellent choice. We have no complaints and will definitely go back if and when the opportunity arises.

We were in town to visit relatives and thought this would be close proximately. Excellent location to Hollywood Beach. Room was not serviced the entire 4 days we stayed there. We arrived at 8 in the morning on a red eye flight and were given sheets to make up the couch ourselves. Very noisy....The hosts had their own gatherings in the main room outside our room..and we felt like we were intruders. When we left, the owner watched us and did not offer to help with our luggage. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts...and had limited expectations...but this was disgusting. Not only did they not ever make up our room, but having damp towels for 4 days was not appealing. We didn't complain thinking it would get better. Don't waste your money here. You can do much better.

We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at Dean's place the first week of July. What a great place! We couldn't have asked for a better, more relaxing vacation.

Dean has thought of just about everything. The bed and breakfast is truly beautiful. Very clean. He makes you feel like you're family and are welcome to wander and use whatever you need.

The breakfasts are fantastic! He'll make you whatever you like for breakfast. Fresh fruit (melons, berries, etc.) is a staple. Omelets, eggs any way, toast, pancakes filled with whatever you'd like, an endless supply of bacon if you choose, sausage, potatoes, french toast, waffles, cereal, 3 different kinds of juices, coffee...I know i'm forgetting something! He fed us so much - we were good until dinner. We never ate lunch the entire week! The kitchen is beautiful - decked out with all Kitchen-aid appliances. You're welcome to use the kitchen to prepare other meals if you choose. He has literally everything you could possibly need. You can also keep your food/beer in the fridge as well, but I believe some, if not all, rooms have a refrigerator/freezer in them as well (ours did).

Dean supplies beach towels, coolers, chairs, umbrellas, boards, ice, water, sodas, paper plates, cups...even sunscreen if you forgot yours! The beach is about a 10 second walk from the pool.

Parking is free with the parking permit he gives you upon arrival.

He also has a huge new washer/dryer for you to use for free...and he even supplied the detergent and dryer sheets!

We stayed in the Margarite. It is VERY private. Behind the staircase and about 5 steps from the pool. French doors, lots of windows. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Expensive linens. I think we were supplied with 6 over-sized towels and a bunch of hand towels and wash clothes for the week. He does not service the rooms while you are staying there...which was just fine by us.

Dean let us explore the rest of the rooms when we first arrived since we were the only ones there for a few days. We would have stayed in any of the rooms. They were all unique, clean, very nice. (Remember, the entire place is NEW. He gutted the place and installed all new, state-of-the-art everything.) Our favorite rooms were the Margarite, the suites, and the Floridian.

Meeting Dean was the highlight of our stay. What a great, genuine guy. The man tells the greatest stories! He has great friends that drop by now and then. We could have sat there for hours (and did sometimes)with a few cold beers listening to him and his friends tell their stories.

We enjoyed the Hollywood by the Sea Bed & Breakfast and hope you do as well. We'll be back next year!
