Had to book a hotel for one night on the 19th of June, due to a breakdown of the AC unit at the condo we were staying at. Got a nice rate through Hotwire. Hotel is new or very recently redone, very clean, I had a room with 2 double beds, and a parking lot view, my unit came with a balcony and 2 chairs. Room had a fridge, nice sized bathroom, and an 32" lcd tv. The hotel has a very nice pool that overlooks the intercoastal (this hotel is not on the beach, but directly across). It is large and has a graded entry for the little ones. Nice jacuzzi as well. Service at the pool bar was swift and friendly. Had breakfast, it was typical hotel fare, nothing of note. Only problem I had, and it is not the hotels fault, but I lost my drivers license while staying at the hotel, the last place I recall seeing seeing it was upon checkin, and discovered it lost the next morning before check-out, but it was never recovered, the hotel staff was helpful, double checking the room, and the office area, they also took my phone # in case it turned up. Overall a nice place to stay for a last minute decision, the whole family was pleased.

As a travel professional and someone who travels frequently, I would say that the service I experienced was very good. My only objection to the service was the resolution to a billing problem I had, in which I had to contact my credit card company to have a charge removed for water in my room which I did not purchase. Eventually, the management from the property did contact me and reverse the charge themselves. I liked the room quite a bit. It had a nice view overlooking the ICW and pool area. It had a comfortable balcony perfect for enjoying morning coffee and an afternoon cocktail. The bed was very comfortable. The climate control was operational and provided comfort. The appointments were above average. The vanity and washroom were well appointed. The room did have a refrigerator, sink and coffee pot, making it easier to feel like home. The room had no odour, and was complete with a number of nice personal care products (including a sleep set). The location was great for our first time visit to the greater Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. We did do quite a bit of travel by car, but that was by choice and for the venues (clubs, SoBe area) that we wanted to go to we knew we would have to travel. The amenities were in order with what the property describes. The pool and hot tub areas were relaxing and it was great having a cocktail and watching boats pass along the ICW. What I liked the best was the room. What I liked the least was having to travel to go really anywhere.

Very nice hotel, modern decor Just came back from staying here. Got a great rate from travel zoo. Had a beautiful corner room on the 8th floor with 2 balconies both ocean and bay views. Pool is awesome with a very nice tiki bar. Drinks are great there worth the price! Room was spacious as well as a beautiful walk in shower. Had breakfast at the restaurant was ok. Only thing is the location. Not on the beach have to cross a somewhat busy street to get to the beach. Also the bored walk was a distance from the hotel. Other then that this place is a must stay!!!!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 4 days/3 nights. I had searched the internet for the best deal and found the Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach. We were impressed from the minute we went into the lobby. Everything is ultra modern since the hotel was redone a few years ago. The room was large with a beautiful king bed and lots of pillows. There was a refrigerator, microwave, bar sink and a coffeemaker with a granite countertop. The fixtures were all new and the bathroom was redone with a fabulous walk in shower. The balcony was adequate with two chairs but needed to be painted. We had a parking lot view and there was a large building under construction right in front of us. The beds were a little soft for my liking. We ate breakfast at the buffet and it was the usual fare - eggs, pastries, bagels, sausages, bacon, grits, oatmeal and lots of fruit. The pool was huge and not too deep and right on the intercoastal. We enjoyed the shade of the palm trees lining the pool. The Hollywood Boardwalk was a mile away and since the weather was stormy we had no problem parking and walking along the boardwalk. We went to the Aventura Mall and the Casinos - all within a few miles. Overall we had a relaxing time which is what a vacation should be.

I found an excellent deal for this hotel, $79 including complimentary breakfast and drinks for two. There is no resort fee, $14 for self parking, $18 for valet. I love staying at Crowne Plazas because their beds are super comfortable, and they give you at least six pillows. Be aware, their is no real view--there is a parking garage view, condo view, causway view, but nothing real pretty unless you get a room on the northwest side, where the view is of the pool. The beach is across the street, where there is public access, or you can take a bus (north or south) and discover a beach yourself. The room was nice, exceptional business standard (which I prefer, even for leisure). Ran, the bartender at the Tiki Bar was excellent and super nice. The pool is awesome, the infinity edge looks very cool, and it would also be nice for children as one area is for wading. Breakfast was good, but it was pretty obvious the manager was overwhelmed and not prepared for a rush. Our server was very nice, and did her best. A walk down the street is the Westin, which has fun, trendy, and pricey bars and restaurants, but they are worth the splurge.

We spent three nights here from 13th June 2009. The hotel, just a couple of years old, sits on the edge of Hollywood key / harbour. Parking is $14 a day. There is valet parking if you wish but self-park is very easy. Reception foyer is cool and smart - the main colour used in the hotel is a soft jade green. Free wi-fi internet access. Rooms have balconies and the best ones overlook the pool area. Corridors are well maintained and the carpet is an elegant affair.

Our room, a standard one, had two queen beds - both very comfortable indeed. An excellent desk with plug-in internet access. The wi-fi signal was too weak to be of use, which was a surprise in a business-oriented hotel. The bedroom's shower and toilet were in a separate room, while the washbasin and main mirror (contemporary and chic in style) was in the bedroom. Not perhaps ideal. There was a separate, illuminated make-up mirror. The shower was of a fixed wide head design - fashionable but we'd have preferred a handheld directional one. And in a such a new unit, a decent shelf in the shower would have been helpful!

The room also had a small kutchen area with a good fridge and a microwave.

Hosekeeping was excellent.

The breakfast staff were very friendly (we got to like them all) and the buffet was perfectly adequate with fresh fruit and some tasty hot items. Not fabulous but good. Dinner in the same space - Elements Bistro - proved to be pricey but of good quality. The atmosphere is a little too businesslike to be romantic.

Outdoors, the Tike bar was staffed by the charming and helpful, handsome Nacho who made an excellent frozen daquiri. Light meals - incl. a very good salmon Caesar salad - can be served on the deck by the pool. Happy hours daily. The extremely well-designed pool offered a bit of everything from lanes to a 'beach' area. The clientele are mixed and not totally family-focussed so not over-run with the wee ones...

In sum, a good, professional hotel, with quality bedrooms. It is well-designed and nicely staffed. We did have a few minor quibbles (such as being charged $7 for a couple of pages of printing, the wi-fi issue, etc.) but would happily rate the Crowne Plaza in Hollywood really quite highly.

We stayed here for the last 4 nights of our 2 week vacation, 2 nigths using priority club points and 2 nights reserved directly with the hotel

On arrival, the valet was very helpful and friendly as were the desk staff. We were upgraded to the club floor. The room was gorgeous, and looked recently remodelled, with a stunning view of the pool and inland waterway (we could just about see the ocean as well).

The room was quiet and comfortable, and the hotel was in easy reach by car of a Walmart, several restaurants and the huge aventura mall - and I would definitely stay here again
