“Excellent meals waterside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

We ate here about 3 times in 4 days it was so good. Staff really make this place and the food is delicious. There are some excellent bakers there. They can speak French too which is nice for the large Quebec population that visit. This place obviously has a strong following of fans and for good reasons.

“Step away from the pizza!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

I really do wish trip advisor offered 1/2 points. I tipped this review toward 3 only because our breakfast croissants here were good. Because of that, we decided to return at lunch and try a wood fired pizza. BAD decision. I'm not even sure what the toppings would have tasted like on a decently crusted pizza. This crust.....seriously? Tasted like cardboard. No exaggeration. It was bad. The biggest waste of calories I've had in a long time.

Again, I do give this place a 3 for other reasons. My daughter's ciabatta bread sandwich was fine, and the view on the back patio is pretty.

Too bad we ordered what we did, though. We will never return.

“Baked goods & coffee, yes please”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

The hubs & I came in a few times over a week's stay. Ordered cinnamon rolls, pastry, and coffee, all were excellent. Service was prompt & attentive. Also had a Greek omelette, which was terrible (probably a whole can of spinach in it, and it was very wet). Agree with other reviewers that the baguette & home fries were what kept me full from that breakfast. Great location on the waterway & you can buy water taxi tix there.

“Mediterranean Casual by the Waterway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Eat outside along the Intracoastal waterway, if at all possible. This portion of the waterway is quiet and the back porch at Giorgio's offers a nice, very casual setting to enjoy good and affordable Mediterranean dishes. Our neighbor's on either side of our table were from France and Australia, respectively, and we heard them say they enjoyed the food. We ordered grilled vegetables, the hummus plate, fish, and chicken. There's also pasta, pizza, and several Greek dishes and pastries available. Our server couldn't have been more friendly. Our dishes were flavorful and priced reasonably. The afternoon sun made the whole experience memorable. There's a glass case of foods and desserts at the entrance for take away and a bin of fresh crusty breads. I agree that the counter staff could be more gracious but they weren't unfriendly. "Atmosphere" is simple and functional, nothing fancy. The Water Taxi stops nearby, making Giorgio's a good visit if you have bought an all day ticket.
