The service was lacking, sushi was mediocre, and the only real perk was the waves crashing on the beach to relax me from cringing at the bill (that had an automatic gratuity added-it was written ALL over the receipt so you wouldnt tip twice). Id spend my money else where next time.

If you ever even had not great but, just good sushi, you'll find the sushi they make in this place horrible and manufactured by a machine. I didn't try their thai food but, as for the sushi, I knew I was in the wrong place when I got the first two rolls and a ceviche made with fake crab meat, little pieces of fish and one little piece of octopus with lemon juice. Japanese ceviche and red dragon rolls which they didn't have or offered to make for us, are standard items on any good sushi restaurant. This was a big mistake. It was overly expensive, the service was horrible and nasty from the very first word and I would not waste my time nor money to go there. You'll be very disappointed.

We were lucky to be staying just blocks from this great restaurant. The view and atmosphere was excellent in the patio and the service was very friendly. We tried the spring rolls and were happy to find they were crisp and light, not oily and deep fried like a lot of Chinese places. The beef satay also was good, with a nice peanut sauce for dipping. The edamame was good but needed a little salt. For an entree we had the curried beef and pad Thai. Both of us were very surprised how fresh and delicious the meal was for a beachside place. A nice pitcher of Kirin for $8.50 washed it all down.
The only bummer was dessert as they were all frozen ice cream treats which were tasty, but like something you buy at a supermarket for the kids. We liked it all so much we ate here again on 4th of July and enjoyed ginger stir fry and a super hot Tigers Tear. Some people complain about the automatic 18% gratuity added, so be careful when paying. But they do print, in big letters, gratuity added on your check. Don't let that stop you. It's a great meal.

The menu had a variety of foods to choose from. Everyones meal was very good and the portions were great. This restaurant is on the boardwalk and the view was wonderful.

Walking from our hotel this restaurant is the first we encountered. The menu looked appealing so we stopped for dinner. The Thai food is good and prepared according to the patron's taste. Prices are comparable to similar restaurants. Service was friendly and the atmosphere satisfactory.

Since many of the other Hollywood Broadwalk restaurants are bars and burger joints, Sushi Thai is a nice change of pace.

We though enough of Sushi Thai that when caught in a rain squall, we stopped in to eat there a second time during our visit to the Hollywood Broadwalk.
