We stayed in this hotel to be close to Gulfstream Park and the boardwalk/restaurants. Everything was in a short driving distance. The room was very clean and spacious! It had a full kitchen, updated living and bath areas and even a little dressing area. The pool was nice. Our room was by the pool vs. the street. We recommend asking for that. Don't let the outside fool you. The rooms are great and the price is right!!

This is a lovely place to stay, everyone was friendly, we had a room with a kitchen and it was clean and comfortable. We stayed in choosing to cook , they had a grill too! We played in the pool and just had a great time before we went to our concert.just a great place to stay, I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: We had pool side

Location: So here's the deal: At first glance the neighborhood doesn't look like the best area of town. But it's really just an older neighborhood. It was quiet, with no one loitering around, and no litter to be seen. There's a grocery store and a dollar store across the street, and a CVS a couple of blocks away. It's ideal if you're on a budget, want a very nice place to stay, and still want to be 10 minutes away from the beach by car. All this for half the price (or less) of similar units closer to the beach itself.

Rooms; Spacious and well appointed (see photos). Newly renovated, and in a good way. The rooms are very well thought out. There's a big bedroom, a good size kitchenette with new appliances and a full size refrigerator, a back room for storage of suitcases and such as well as a decent size closet. Kitchenette had a good array of dishes and silverware. Bathroom was done very nicely, with lots of room for toiletries, a granite countertop, and travertine style tiled walls. The bathtub was spotless and the shower had great hot water and pressure. There were plenty of soft towels. Bedding was soft and mattress was very comfortable. Decent number of outlets, including some in the base of the lamps at the night stands, which were convenient for charging electronics. Flat screen tv across from the bed worked great. a nice desk and a four person dinette set made the place feel like home.

Staff: Friendly, helpful, and courteous

Wifi: Free, strong, easy to connect to with good bandwidth

Breakfast: N/A

Other amenities: Spotless pool, convenient laundry area, plenty of parking

The Curtis Inn is on Highway 1 and is a re modeled old motel from the pre I-95 era. The remodeling was done in good taste on a limited budget, sort of like a nice hotel in the Dominican Republic, sort of rough but it grows on you.

The location is a local Hollywood Florida neighborhood near the beach, about 2 miles or so. The local area is good enough with a grocery store and CVS Drug Store across the street.

The best part of this place is the Senor Café across the street; and one of the reasons I gave the Curtis Inn 4 stars instead of 3. The Senor Café is GREAT.

I stayed in room 120 next to the pool, it has a kitchen and dining table, beware there are no plates or eating utinsils. When I walked in I was not pleased with the walls being sort of rough finished and a lack of lighting sort of makes it dim. During the day I opened the curtains and it beame a brigher room. The curtails could use replacement during the day the bright sun showed some holes,

The housekeeping is good and the grounds are immaculate, very nice barbeque grill and area, the pool furniture and area are great.

The room grows on you and the bathroom is above average; there is shampoo and lotion, soad and clean but small towels; the face cloths were bigger than the usual though.

The bed is excellent and the pillows and linen are great so you get a good nights sleep.
The plase is made really solid and the noise is kept at bay.

The Service is good in the day with the GM handling the desk, the guy at night can barely speak English and had a hard time processing my debit card. When I got to the room I called for the wifi code and was told I had to come to the office. The next morning the GM guy, very nice guy, printed out the code for me; it appears they use a well controlled system for codes. The wifi is free so OK, cool beans!

The only thing I did not care for was the room lighting, walls were sort of jacked up and the guy at night needs to spend some quality time with an ESL class, or maybe some Berlitz English language tapes.

The price for the Curtis was pretty good and the location is pretty close to the main areas of Hollywood Florida that are of interest.

If you stay at the Curtis Inn you have the best Cuban Resturant across the street and a pretty fair location at a reasonable price; free wifi and a great pool. It's a good deal.

Room Tip: The rooms in the main building may offer a better quality

Older facility but clean and well taken care of.. stayed in room 120. It is an efficiency with full sized fridge, stove , toaster, coffee maker and microwave. Room was clean although pretty dated. Good service- no problems.
Cons- Loud A/C and no utensils for the kitchen.

Room Tip: bring your own dishes to effiencies, earplugs
