Initially I reserved a room on Orbitz and upon check in the woman who greeted me was inattentive and despondent to my conversation, though I tried to share my concerns. I contacted Orbitz customer service and was helped my an agent who contacted the hotel, then told me to return.
Once I returned another staff member assisted me and was pleasant and helpful with my concerns and needs. Check in was speedy, informative and almost effortless. They even upgraded me to a renovated room.
I must note that I did not expect that nor did I need it.
Parking was difficult as the streets are narrow, spaces small and few. Should you be arriving in a larger vehicle such as a truck or SUV, I'd recommend arriving in ample time to secure a space.
The room was nicely decorated, had a small patio on the second floor, a small kitchenette and stove. The bed was comfortable and the sheets smelled freshly laundered. The first night my next door guest was exceptionally loud throughout the night but my second night was serene and quiet.
Their breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, apples and bananas, cold and hot cereal, multiple breads and hard boiled eggs and plenty of morning drinks.
Their seating area was nestled in a courtyard where the tables were clean and seats were dry. Several families and other patrons enjoyed their food and conversed.
Amenities are few and any convenience items are well over priced. A 12 ounce cannot of soda goes for 3.21, but in a pinch you've got to do what you've got to do.
Check out was easy and I chose to reserve more days on Orbitz. Another review will follow.
